I just did a heroic dungeon and i don’t think it gave me any guild rep? 
from google it says it should… what are the best ways to get guild rep? can i get guild rep from pvp?
The best way is to quest, hands down.
Iirc you are only even supposed to get guild rep from running a heroic in a ‘guild group,’ but at least in prepatch I don’t even think that was working.

Any idea which quests give rep? yellow or blue? or do both give rep? Do they both work at level 85?
Any quest that is at least green to you should give rep. I haven’t tested ‘low-level’ quests that are gray.
Given the changes to the rep system in tbc/wrath, those may well give guild rep as well, but I can’t say that for sure.

Oh, and don’t forget you can buy the guild tabard. I think the 50% boost is at friendly, and 100% at Revered. I don’t bother, but if you were in a rush you could.
I didn’t check all of this, but roughly on a human toon even starting from scratch, assuming 150 guild rep per quest (the amount dailies give, at least), it’s 20 quests to friendly.
Get the tabard and it’s 27 quests to honored, and 53 more to revered assuming your goal is to unlock the BOAs. It’s really not that big a grind in the scheme of things.
For other races assume roughly 10% more to each of those.

Also, is guild rep account wide if chars are in same guild? Atm i’m honored, like 30% to reverred…
if i switch guilds does the rep have to start over?
gray quests reward no rep, the tabards are 50% at friendly and 100% at honored to get guild rep in dungeons i believe it has to be a majority guild group.

I got exalted fast this way
you do get guild rep for dungeons and BGs if you group up with a certain number of guild members, for 5man dungeons its 3 I believe
