Guild Realm Transfer - Guild name change problems!

Why did the name not change? I changed it when I transferred now it has my same old guild name with a couple numbers after it. It didn’t say the Guild Name I chose was in use, so I am not sure WHY its isn’t changed and has numbers added to the old name.

Submit a ticket using the “problem with purchase” option. Billing should be able to sort things out.

Thanks. I went to change my Ally guild as well and when I put in the name I changed it to says the name is “already taken” so I am assuming it went through…but will put in a ticket

By any chance did you check to see if the guild name was taken already? If it doesn’t show up in armory or something like that, it could still be in a charter phase.

Is the guild transfer completed, Scarletraven or still processing? From what I can see one of the two are still unprocessed. Character transfers tend to show temporary characters in the name during the process, it is likely guild transfers follow the same pattern and the name will be what you selected when the transfer has been completed.

Yes, The one transfer is complete on the Horde side, and I just did my alliance transfer not yet finished. I will wait and see if after 24 hours the name changes. Thank you. Just was strange that the transfer went through but the guild name didn’t change.

NOTE: Just checked and my Alliance guild change went through and when I logged into her on my new server, the guild name changed to what I picket at purchase. so, WHY did my HORDE one not change? It wasn’t used or it would have told me it was, and if it was it should have prompted me to change it after the transfer was complete!

GOOD NEWS! Just heard back from my ticket and there was a glitch with the Guild Name system, and the GM took care of it and now all is good :slight_smile:
