Hey there could someone give me some information about my guild name being changed? Am I on the hook to pay for it to be changed back to what it was I assume?
It will have to be a paid name change theres no free name change unless its violates naming policy.
If it was a change imposed by Blizzard, I would strongly recommend not changing it back to what it was. It was reported and found to be a breach of TOS, and you only open yourself up to further action if you do that.
Otherwise, opting for a name change yourself is a premium service that you must pay for, yes.

The leader of the guild should open a ticket with Blizzard, via the support page. It looks like the original name was probably in violation, that would be my guess. That person should have also received an email indicating why it was changed.
If it violated the naming rules, it would not be advisable to change it back, that would definitely be a bad idea.

The name was Autumn. I wasnt given any information as to why it was changed.
As it’s not coming up (likely due to the name change), it’s difficult to see if you’re the Guild Leader. If you are, you can put in a ticket to appeal the name change here:

I know this is several hours old and you already have a ticket in, but I wanted to chime in.
If a character or guild name was changed by our staff, you would not be required to use a character service to change it to something else. For guild names, if the original name change is upheld, we’d ask you to provide 5 names in order of preference that you’d like to change the guild name to.
In this case, it looks like an error was made and your name should have been changed back as soon as the error was discovered. A Game Master should be able to get to your ticket fairly soon and get this straightened out. Sorry for the confusion and inconvenience.
