Guild Master has not been on line in 6 months. I am next in line but have not received a auto offer. Can you help? My Guild is slowly fading away.
Click on the info tab, if you have the correct rank, and the Gm is ready to be disposed, the offer should show there.

Palethu, hate to break it to you, but the guild master set it up to where someone cannot take it over. You are rank 6 in the guild and only those that are ranks 2 or 3 can take over the guild membership.

I’m sorry to hear that, Palethu, but the short answer is, no, we cannot help you.
If the guild leader set up the guild so that no characters occupy a rank that is able to dethrone, then no character will have that option.
If there are characters in that position then they will be able to dethrone if they wish. Here is a little more information on the system:

I was Guild Master, and let another take the title to run raids. They have not been online for 6 months. Then gave it to their alt who has not been online in 4 months.
Yes but if they changed the guild ranks theres nothing you can do about it

Unfortunately, when you gave up leadership you gave up control of the guild. Sorry, Palethu, but In-Game support isn’t able to assist here.

Feedback on the guild system in the early days of self help take over, they changed the system to make it harder for players to take over being Guild Leader. This way the leader can keep control, but take a break. Since guild ranks are no longer a think, and guild reputation is not as hard as it was in the start, if you wish to find a more active guild you have that choice.

Technically speaking, Palethu, the original stance on guilds was entirely hands off. A guild leader was the one who had control of it and regardless of how long they had been away, we wouldn’t be able to transfer leadership.
We later decided to assist in those situations and then we eventually created an automatic system.
That comes with specific restrictions though as we wanted to still recognize that the guild belongs to the guild leader. So, they may set their permissions how they wish to if they wish to prevent folks from being able to take over their guild.
I’m sorry, Palethu, but the guild leader has the full right to set up the permissions as they see fit. While unfortunate, you did give up those rights when you transferred leadership to them.

According to the armory, the only eligible characters to dethrone the guild leader are Meeko and Gladheateher. If you know either of them, maybe you could reach out. If not, you’re kinda out of luck.
