Sorry I’m not too familiar with LC, but I do have some experience with the base issues themselves. I’m assuming you are the guild leader here.
First the key to avoid loot drama is that it should be planned out before you down the boss. In a guild group it should be pre-decided who will be getting what item before the encounter started. People can make their arguments for why they should get what item, but it comes down to the logic of their argument > performance > participation in that order (IMO). Again the decision is being made before the loot ever drops and ideally in a spreadsheet before the raid is even started, since people are making a commitment here.
Second on the drama with having girl gamers thing. This comes down to a leadership issue. In my experience there will always be some type of drama if you have a girl in the group and please no one take that as me blaming that on the girl. There are simply many people playing online games that are unequipped to handle the social implications of playing with a girl and it will affect their personality/gameplay. As a leader it’s your responsibility to identify these people ahead of time and talk with them 1-on-1 in private to address these issues.
Both of these come down to pre-planning and proactive addressment of issues. IMO this is the main responsibility of a guild leader. I’ve seen these been delegated to officers in guilds, but with extremely mixed results. I really can’t recommend enough doing these things yourself as guild leader.
More complicated:
1- Overall raid improvement: Raid benefit >> Personal benefit. This can come from their roll, performance and etc…
Example1: If your tank is getting one shot, the highest priority is to improve the tank. But if you have no tank issue you can pass it to healer or dps
Example2: Giving the item to DPS A improves the overall raid dmg by 1.4%. But giving it to DPS B improves the overall raid damage by 1.1%. So give it to player A
2- Guild Seniority. If you are doubtful between 2 or more people you hand the item to the player that’s your guild veteran. This will passively include participation in it. You always wanna prioritize people who participate consistently.
3- Equal distribution: If someone got lot of items recently, it’s fair to pass the items to other people. This doesn’t need to be 1 on 1. But needs to feel overall fair
4- Transparency: For cosmetics like mounts, if it’s planned to go to the guild leader or officers, it SHOULD always be communicated in advance.
What sort of worked early on for my guild was a /roll system with a priority list and +10 roll bonuses that could be accrued each week. It was generally fair though you could as other roll based systems be screwed by rngesus.
