I am seeking to regain control of my guild. The current guild master dethroned me about 2 or so years ago. When he did that he set all my alts to the lowest rank in the guild, and set my character that was guild master to member rank. The current guild master has not logged into his character for two years, and the other officers have not been online for the same time if not longer.

All of my charters that where officers or the Guild master where all demoted.
I’d open a ticket. There have been times in the past where even tho a gm had been dethroned and demoted that they were able to reclaim the guild because the current gm had been gone for a long time.
Edit: every situation is unique but it’s worth a shot.
Edit2: I’ll also add that Iv only seen this happen when it was the creator of the guild trying to get it back.

I have been looking into submitting a ticket but I am trying to figure out which category to submit it under.
Generally speaking, we are hands off when it comes to guild management. If you were dethroned, we will almost never get involved.
However, if your character is still in the guild and the person who dethroned you is no longer active, in very specific cases, we may be able to assist. I just want to set the expectation that it is generally a special exception.
The categories we have available for the Support Site usually are for more common issues. As this is not something our staff will usually becoming involved in, there isn’t a specific category. You’ll need to piggyback your issue into a different category, like the Not Listed Here one under Items and Mail.
You may be sent a generic template referring you to some self-help options initially, just reopen the ticket and a Game Master will look into your request as soon as they can. Remember to note your character in the guild that used to be guild leader and was dethroned as well as the current guild leader that you are trying to reclaim leadership from.

Just to add to the advice above, inactivity is measured at the account level. You are seeing that character not online, but if they are active on other characters/realms, then it’s less likely they can give an exception.
