Looks like the cloak+helm got nerfed to be only usable from 1-80 instead of 1-85 now…
I mean that makes sense does it not? That would be really weird having everyone level with their 2 heirlooms from 80 to 85 on launch

It’s not super weird, I think a lot of people expected it, and the fact that it was showing 1-85 previously. Glad I didn’t get my guild rep up to spend 15k on the heirlooms lol.

This is the kind of thing that a proper test cycle would have picked up on and fixed prior to live release.
The change does make sense as no WoW expansion prior has allowed the use of heirlooms up to current max level at the start of it, later sure.
Correct me if I’m wrong though.

Correct. Originally, these heirlooms required Guild Level 10 or 20, and no guild was getting Level 10 before end of pre-patch in OG Cata (it was time-gated). They’ll likely be changed back after a few weeks.
80 - 85 will be quick anyway…
