so when I am talking in guild chat it is using my name but also adding -Nagrand on it. my old character was Basshunter-Nagrand but I server transferred to Barthilas mid BfA and changed the e slightly because someone else had the name already.
this isn’t happening to anyone else in guild, just me.

My main that I first logged on after servers came up is normal. All other toons of mine in my guild so far are using old pre-transfer or pre-faction-change names from different servers.
/say and /yell show my correct info, and my character sheet is fine, it’s just guild chat so far that has this issue.
Same issue on characters on both accounts, i can also see every other charcacter in guild previous servers if they existed as if they were on that server, problem also extends to compainion app
Also to add, its showing them at the bottom of guild roster, not top, also showing up as random people are online when they are not.
Same problem as everyone else. Name shows fine in character sheet. Only guild panel it shows my old server and spelling. It also shows me at level 50, but I’m actually level 60 and I’m at the bottom of the guild roster and online. Offline members are ahead of me.
My main, who is guild leader, has the same issue. Can edit MotD but cannot select any guild members on the roster in order to see/update public/officer notes. Shows an old realm name after main name in guild chat (but only for me). We have several others in the guild who have previously been on other realms, who have the same issue. For them, their names show the old realm in guild chat, but not for others.
My alt, who came from the same realm at roughly the same time, is in the same guild, but is officer not guild leader, does not, so far, have this issue.
I am also having this issue on all my characters. I transferred a whole bunch of my toons to another realm (NA - Hyjal to OC - Frostmourne) and they are showing old character names and the previous realm they came from.

Adding that several server restarts since this bug was reported has not resolved the issue. Gauging from the fact it also appears in the WoW Companion app with identical behavior, this is clearly not just the game client.
I’m also seeing fellow guildmates who have the same issue at the bottom of the list. Because this behavior treats me and anyone else affected like as though they do not have permissions in the guild (even as officers), we are unable to administer the guild on those toons nor can we add a note for others to see.
Add today’s maintenance to the non-fix pile. I’m online, looking at the guild roster, 0/418 online, and at the bottom of the roster, 3 of my toons are online with incorrect info.
Same thing is happening to me. I was hoping reset would fix this but I am still showing up as a previous name on a previous server
I can indeed confirm it’s still not working as of today. What’s even funnier is that another name my toon had showed up this morning after reset and yet another one popped up 5 hours later when I logged back in.
Still not working properly on my side either, I posted this on on of the other threads that was talking about this issue. This is so dumb. I have no control of my guild.

The problem is, any mention of guild issues seems to plummet problems to the bottom of the list. Every single time they touch anything to do with guilds, even remotely, even in the background, something breaks a little bit more.
Not only is this problem causing major issues for guild leaders and officers, but somehow they’ve managed to break the guild roster interface even further, meaning that if you want to sort your guild roster to find someone, you have to be pretty darn quick … leave it too many seconds, and the list completely resets. I spent ages yesterday trying to scroll to someone mid-alphabet and just never reached them.
I am having this issue now, I have been on my current server for nearly 2 years and I joined a guild where my main is sitting and it’s showing as a server I haven’t been on for for…you guessed it, 2 years.
my character also isn’t showing up at all in the guild name list either, a guildy attempted to help me fix it but no avail.
I restarted the entire game
I left the guild again and they reinvited me and same issue
so I am here seeking if anyone else is having the same issue and it appears they are
I’m also showing up in guild/community chat under a name/server from at least 2 years ago. My guild has a couple different people showing up under old server names (and one person showing up as just a bunch of numbers instead of their name)

One of our guild members (who is currently showing as being on a previous realm), gained an achievement, which only some of us saw in guild chat. No idea what other impact this is going to have, but it’s a fairly major bug and needs to be sorted.
