ive done everything to try and fix this, i can type to guild channel but it wont show up in the chat window.
Right click on the “General” chat box tab. From the drop down menu that appears, go to settings. Make sure there is a yellow check mark for the Guild Chat Channel.

What do you mean by missing? What do you see when you open the chat settings page?
Another possibility is that the Guild Master can set guild chat privileges for specific ranks. It is possible that they’re not set to talk in guild chat.
all that is there is local, trade, LD
So you are unable to see an option for Guild Chat in the General Config - Chat options under Settings (right-click on main chat box to access)?
Are you looking at channels, Wivok or Chat?
If you right click on the General Chat tab and select Settings, under Chat it should look something like this:

sorry i misunderstood, those are all checked. maybe its because i dont have guild chat rank
If you were in a rank that had Guildchat Speak disabled you would get a permission error when attempted to speak in that channel.
Which character is this for, Wivok?

If the GM has disabled Guild Chat at your rank, then you will be told that you do not have permission to do that if you attempt to speak in guild chat.
I disabled Guild Chat on my GM and then attempted to do a guild chat on Kyzera and that is what I was told.
