Guild Banks Pt. 14

I was a terrible hoarder. Whites, greens, blues, farming mats, useless items I’d crafted. I was an altoholic so whenever I created another alt I could ensure s/he was always properly equipped from minute one.

Because, as I’ve stated, I hate seeing hundreds of level 1 gnome bank alts piled on top of mail boxes everywhere I go. That is, as stated, one of my core reasons :joy:

If anything, a static object would be less convenient because you can’t fly it to raid entrances.

…a guild bank alt…that isn’t…a guild…bank…

Seeing those level 1’s on the mailbox was part of the vanilla experience, was it not? Seeing those level 1’s on the mailbox was part of the “vanilla feel”, was it not?

At best, you could call it one of those “warts”.

You, yourself, just described a way that makes guild banks different than guild bank alts. Or does that not count since it doesn’t support your goal of seeing that non vanilla QOL convenience change of guild banks added to classic?

It’s a player work around for guild storage. As you can see Guild Bank is in the name. Lol
Like I said earlier the UI and in game log weren’t in Vanilla but the idea, name, and function sure were. Wouldn’t these be considered irrefutable facts too? Asking fir a friend. LOL

And those things will still be present in Classic, just as they were in vanilla, unlike guild banks.

This is what the thread should be condensed to is this point right here.

Those that cannot function without their conveniences have shown that they care only about those conveniences and will not even acknowledge anything or anyone that does not support those non vanilla QOL conveniences being added to classic.

Which can be condensed down to what you said above. Basically it doesn’t matter how much they think it will fit, how much they think it will ‘not hurt the feel of vanilla’, or how much they think bank alts suck… It doesn’t matter because it won’t be in classic.

To me, it was one of the first signs of the cancer that has since engulfed the game; players willing to exploit loopholes for their own gain, despite it obviously not being an intended feature.

By the same token, multiboxing would be part of the vanilla experience.

Honestly, I’m not going to be that upset if no version of guild bank’s are in Classic. This is just a topic that popped up that I thought would be interesting to discuss possibilities for. You’ve consistently ruined any chance of an actual discussion with your constant “non vanilla QOL convenience of guild bank which is a non vanilla QOL convenience of guild bank that wasn’t in vanilla and won’t be in classic because it’s a non vanilla QOL convenience of guild bank” gotcha posts. We get it; you don’t want them.

I’ll still be playing on an RP realm and reporting anyone I see with a stupid bank name no matter what happens.

Note to self: Cancel plans to RP as GBanky McBankerton

Is some version of RichUnclePennybags acceptable? Or would that only be allowed if I was attempting to develop a monopoly of some sort?

Depending on the toons level…I’d probably still report it and let Blizz decide on the offchance it’s Fesz :joy::joy:

In that case, I’m going to create normal RP names and pray I see a character named NotFeszsBankAlt

Fesz, at this point you should copy right

“QoL convenience”

Since it seems to be your favorite buzz word to use yet give 0 actual discussion.

And I would support those types of reports on an RP realm.

I think you mean 0 discussion which supports your goal to see that non vanilla QOL convenience of guild banks added to classic.

I have provided plenty of discussion. It just doesn’t support your goal or Padre’s goal and both of you simply choose to try to dismiss, ignore, pooh pooh or hand wave it away.

Question: Has there even been a situation where the mail system absolutely wet the bed and items were lost forever? And I mean forever, as in Blizzard can’t get them back either.

In vanilla. Yes.

Usually when a server crashed shortly after you mailed an item.

Other than possibly if a person leaves items in the mail for too long, there are no situations such as you describe of which I am aware.
