Inventory management mattered everywhere, even if admitting that inventory management mattered everywhere hurts your goal of seeing one of your pet non vanilla QOL convenience changes added to classic.
Every one of the “pros” for guild banks has a corresponding “con” to counter it, even if you choose to pooh pooh, dismiss, ignore or try to hand wave those “cons” away.
With one exception, almost every “con” against guild banks has a corresponding “pro” to counter it, even if people try to ignore, dismiss, pooh pooh or hand wave those “pros” away.
The one “con” that cannot be “countered” is the fact that guild banks were NEVER part of vanilla. Guild banks may be more convenient that guild bank alts, but that is one of those warts that comes with “vanilla, warts and all”.
Logging in and out was part of the vanilla experience. It is one of those warts that comes with “vanilla, warts and all”.
Classic is not about “removing the stuff” that Johnny found inconvenient and only keeping the things he liked. It is about producing a product that is as close to vanilla as orcishly possible.
If Johnny wants those “warts” removed, then he can start a petition asking Blizzard for Classic +, vanilla lite, EZ ode vanilla or possibly even retail in a vanilla setting.
What, you never had to ask someone else for something? Everything you’ve ever wanted was always right there in front of you, or in a convenient place waiting for you to just waltz up and grab it?
Guild Banks. Flying. Transmog. Battle Pets. Boosts. Arenas. Heirlooms. And on and on and on. All these groups want all these things, and have their own special spoon-fed message on why their want is “better for the game”. If you add one, you should add them all. Fair is fair. Then you’d have a 60-capped BfA. Sound fun?
Then stop asking.
I realize you were just making a point, but no one seriously has asked for flight or battle pets, but like I said, that’s not the point you were making, lol.
Seriously asking for it? Nah, I am easily the biggest pro flyer here and I wouldn’t dream of asking for it, if someone did , they were not serious, and if they really were, geez, do they not know how much extra work it would take to implement that? Serious to me means thread after thread after thread, not some random people asking every now and then and then getting explained to why that wouldn’t work.
You’ve been around longer than I have Stud, and I’m certain I’ve seen threads on all those topics. Taking into account the last forum. I left out a bunch too…but yeah, the point got through.
I hope.

and here’s the slippery slope demand…the fallacy wasn’t enough
nah a slippery slope argument is a slippery slope fallacy.
There has never been a classic before so the fact that wow did x at some non classic/non vanilla point is irrelevant, but I applaud your effort to try to support the slippery slope fallacy.
I won’t quibble beyond this and that is to point out that they are entirely different games…That’s one of the major reasons we need and want classic.
Oh and fallacies and irrelevance are not one and the same.
I’ve been up all night with a migraine and I need to try to sleep again, so I won’t be able to discuss further with you, but I wish you a good day and that classic wow exceeds both of our expectations regardless of whatever changes creep into it
