Well, if you are making things up to suit your narrative sure. It’s not like they found an old patch and then kitbashed it on the Legion engine and got it running because they didn’t have all the vanilla data.
Just go back to CS and tell folks they got banned for a reason. You directed me here to discuss this, why did you follow? Don’t bother responding, you’ve proven what you are. Not worth my time…
I’ve been on the thread since the day that they put out a statement on it. The fact you are relying on making things up isn’t really my problem
they literally answered. the answer isn’t what you want, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t provide one. they said it’s over. case closed
they’re doing that because the forums don’t need 50 threads by 20 people about the same issue every day.
you’re assuming they know who those people are
Tomorrow’s patch looks to have some things in there that might wipe stuff out again… guess it’s time to empty everything out, especially the warband bank, just in case. Also, take screenshots of currency although I have a feeling if those get wiped out they will respond with the same old ‘too bad, so sad’ like with this fiasco.
So bummed, I really wanted to be excited for the 20th anniversary but it’s clouded with all these doubts. What if they accidentally delete everyone’s transmog collections and we all login wearing underwear?!
I emptied my Warbank bank as well Sinsuality. Cant help but feel I have been scammed regards the potential return of 7 tabs worth of gear some going back to Vanilla. I resubbed in anticipation that the gear will be sent to my GM. Much later nothing. Have now unsubbed both accounts but will log on until the subs run out in December to see if a miracle happens.
What is happening tomorrow that has you nervous – sorry I should probably know but I no longer pay attention to patch notes since honestly what good does it do?
They’re allowing Warband Banks to fill crafting orders. While I don’t think anything will go awry, I am going to record myself hovering over everything that’s left in my guild bank and everything in my single tab of my Warband Bank.
I do have a deja vu you know…
When the WWE did start with their Network, a lot of people did assume that all content would be available there. At first, WWE had big drops each week, at times hundreds of episodes.
At one point, the process slowed down and today it has completely stopped. A huge amount of content is still missing, especially from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
When asking WWE support about that, they claim that they would need to edit all videos because of music copyright claims and the WWF logo.
While this may be true, all it would take are a few students who go through the archive, video editing a 12 years old can do, it´s not a big deal at all, but WWE believes it´s not worth it. At one point, they even had job offers with that very job open… it was a home office job too, go figure.
I feel that we are at the same situation with the guild bank bug, it would not take a master engineer to go through the backups and fix it, but they just don´t care.
This in general is a big issue in the industry, be it sports, entertainment or gaming. It does not take much to make things better for the customers, but the powers that be, just don´t care.
uuugh – more bank changes - just what we needed.
-
Reagents stored in the Warband bank can now be used to fill all types of crafting orders.
-
An interact icon has been added for objects that open the Warband bank.
-
A dropdown has been added to the Currency pane that allows you to see all the transferable currency types across your Warband. This enables you to transfer currencies your current character hasn’t encountered before and wouldn’t normally see in their list.
-
The currency transfer pane now has a button that allows you to quickly input the maximum amount of currency from a given character.
These may sound harmless, but I’m sure we all thought that about patch 11.0.2 as well.
Screenshots have never been a reviewed data point. They go only by their logs and tools
I wouldn’t be using them to send to Blizzard. One thing that really ticked me off about losing my guild bank items was not knowing the exact things I lost and in what amounts. I have thousands of time warped badges across dozens of characters. There is no way I’d know if I’m missing 100 or 1,000 badges after the maintenance (or after using the new move feature) just based off memory. I know it seems pointless because it’s obvious that Blizzard won’t restore them anyway, but it’s for my own peace of mind.
I took out everything of value in warbank…and i have nothing in guildbank or personal banks – everything sits in bags now.
I fear for my 24k time walking badges…
You’re forgetting mail. If banks can self delete there’s no reason to think mailboxes would be any better. And we already know they don’t restore those.
Plethora of crafting mats that still haven’t been restored, really disappointing (lack) of a response from Blizzard leadership.
It won’t matter. There are many of us that were able to state or show (in logs) exactly what went missing, and it didn’t make a bit of difference on what was returned.
Oh, it’s 100% for my own knowledge. I just remembered yesterday that I lost a Tome of Polymorph Turtle in amongst all this. Not knowing what I had lost was super frustrating to me. At least if I lose anything this week, I can quantify it and speak from a place of knowledge, you know?
