Guild Bank items gone

I can confirm that my entire guild bank (6tabs) full of valuable items has been deleted.
Furthermore, there is nothing in the records, no items taken, and no one other than me has access to the safe.
My guild bank, which only I have access to, my main raid guild bank, with all items completely cleared. Nothing removed appearing in the logs.
When checking my guild bank, I saw that all my tabs were gone. Please restore the bank, including all my precious stored items!
I’m very aware that this happened right after the warband inclusion update. I have already opened a ticket asking for the return of my items, several mounts, pets, farms… Please restore my items! It can’t stay like this! About a week after we launched patch 11.0.2 in August, we began receiving reports of an issue where some players were discovering items missing from their guild banks.

They already said they are unable to restore items on the most part.

Looks like the folks that came back for anniversary are finally noticing the issue, and are being sent here. I sincerely hope Blizz treats them better than it treated the rest of us when this issue began. We speculated that this would occur.

This appears to be a new wave of folks that are just now noticing the bug, and if CS is sending them here, then CS is being spiteful. Everything in the bug forum has been forced closed without any official word.

If the company clearly believes they resolved this, then CS should be echoing that. Not just dropping people in the bug report forum pit of neglect.

PS: Blizz states they fixed this bug and closed it. They returned a couple items in broken state to a few people through GM in game mail, put out a sanitized statement on the general forum and closed the issue without ever helping any of us. It now appears they are sending people to the bug forum as if this is an unknown issue. The lack of support continues.

They do this a lot with known issues. They do not care enough to say, hey nothing we can do. Just send it here to die and never be acknowledged. Any time I bring this point up someone white knights to blizzard’s defense that of course they do no respond in bug reports. I get that but the concerns they send it here to die is the problem.

If they truly believe they adequately fixed this, they would happily direct their customers to the details of that fix. This is just further proof, that we are nothing but a dollar.

Ya, I’m guessing there’s a swell of “returning” players right now for the anniversary and holiday stuff

Been seeing a few “what happened to my guild bank?”-themed threads popping up on this board the last 2 weeks or so… which conveniently lines up with players returning from a break for the 20th celebration event

Hey! Welcome back to WoW. This has been an issue since around mid-August. Not the best surprise if you came back for the Anniversary, and I’m sorry you had to experience it.

They did a “partial restoration” (the first time they even responded to this was on September 22nd, even though there was a HUGE bug report thread that had 2609 posts in it by the time it was closed on September 23rd). It consisted of SOME items (for many, very few) being restored while many got nothing back. For example, my personal guild bank had a 7-tab bank. Before the bug, the tabs were approximately between 75% to 100% full. They consisted of cloth, enchanting, elemental mats, special crafting mats (stuff like righteous orbs, spider silk, frozen orb, etc.) and some fishing-related stuff. I lost about 98% of the items. What did I get back in the mail? A bit over 90 Large Brilliant Shards. That’s it. The funny thing is, Large Brilliant Shards were among items that had STILL REMAINED in the bank after the bug. I lost THOUSANDS upon THOUSANDS of items, considering I had full stacks of some of them.

The type and number of items missing seem to be random. We haven’t really figured out any kind of pattern yet.

I cannot even fathom the value and time collecting of the items I lost, none the less every one else lost. All my guilds lost everything…

All because we had to make guilds crossrealm suddenly. While warbanks are cool and useful to me they were not worth this disaster.

I never left the game, I’ve been complaining since the warband update and my tickets didn’t resolve it. He told me to post on the forums, but none of them were open and they were all closed, so I created this new one. A huge loss and they can’t handle something so simple. What developers are they who can’t fix this bug that only brought harm? I’ve been playing wow for 15 years and that’s one of the reasons why so many players leave. Before they had at least refunded some item, nothing else was done!

Before this is locked and/or merged into “The Maw” (what we’ve come to call the pinned thread in GD where we’ve been corralled), I made this post back on October 6th if you’re needing a timeline and want to read some external articles about the matter.

I’m sorry to those who have come back recently for the 20th Anniversary event and are only now finding out their guild banks have been Thanos’d or even worse.

Here was the Megathread on it:

Here’s the blue post telling us, “Oopsies, sorry! But we can’t give you back your stuff.”:

hey we deleted a bunch of your stuff and are not going to do anything about it but hey we have some more pets and other junk you can spend more money on

CS is still sending new customers here to open bug reports on it.
