Actually, this I did not know! Thanks. I still feel bad!
So the devs just made things worse with group loot and are still thinking people with stick around for them to fix it. This company is crazy. My group already fled and I just joined them 2 weeks ago. I give up.
In my opinion, if you outgear, or feel you have to carry an LFR group, you shouldnât be needing on loot there in the first place.
At the very least, pass loot on to someone that can actually benefit from it. But thatâs just me.
Iâm worried that removing players from LFR who would be there for appearance will destroy the mode. The queue can be quite long and depends on players who are there to get transmog, and for a mode designed for a casual player.
We have a stacked normal raidâŠstacked with an abundance of a few types of classes. All the other classes are geared fully because their loot drops the most. The classes we have the most ofâŠwell, they just are not dropping enough for the makeup of our raid. With personal loot, we did not have this problem because it was tailored to our raid. We have had more grief with âoops I needed but I donât need itâ in our raid that is slowing progression down just wasting time talking about loot more than we have had in a long time. If they gave us back personal loot-as an option even, and required in LFR-and then let us have unrestricted trade for those in our raid group? It would be perfect.
Because you âNeedâ upgrades to progress in content, its only your âGreedâ that makes you think you deserve transmog over other players.
Remove loot ilvl trade restrictions⊠its a much better option than what they implemented.
Donât worry, as a LFR player we will be fine. Will it suck to loss the higher level guys doing LFR for pure mog- sure, but Iâll take the suck. Seeing the mythic dude win the LFR tier piece for the looks sucks more than not having a few mythic dudes to help carry the LFR raid.
LFR will be fine, I am sure there may be more instances of hitting determination stacks but no the LFR system is not going to collapse because the high level mog farmers no longer have an interest in doing LFR.
Yeah, now those of us who care about appearance will just level up the same class again and come in worse geared because all we want is the appearance. You still get people needing for mog, and now you donât even get the benefit of a higher geared raider coming into lfr to help out. Great.
Add in bonus cosmetic item currency to the LFR drop tables. Make them tokens that you can use to purchase any class appropriate item appearance from LFR. Now moggers have items to roll for and a reason to do LFR without the option of rolling on a tier piece they have a higher version of.
Heh, I am sure the LFR people will somehow find a way to survive.
This just really stinks.
Normal/Heroic raiders are basically disincentivized from doing LFR
i usually pug my raids now if i see 6ppl i hav to roll against, i just leave the grp
its been complete and utter misery
im in a somewhat small raid and only the wrong tier for classes we didnt have dropped, a full set, 12 tank trinkets dropping per boss and nothing useful
we wasted 8/10 drops for 2 weeks because of this
we seem to be able to think up good solutions easilyâŠbut blizzard will never even look at them. Blizzard isnt looking for solutions, just changes they can make yet still keep the status quo. They seem to want loot to be contentious and annoying. They dont want players to be happy with it.
Anyone who claims this has never been rage whispered for an item from PL that they didnât want to trade.
There are players who will invent loot drama no matter what system is used.
OMG this is the truth. It all goes back to the decision to broadcast what everyone gets. if it just dropped in your bag quietly you could offer up what you dont want. Some one will be unhappy as long as everyone is at each others throats over who gets what.
This comes down to how your group handles loot. If youâre getting shafted an entire tier, itâs because youâre playing with groups that donât care about you. Under personal loot, you werenât guaranteed anything.
In Shadowlands, I canât count the number of nights I went to raid and got nothing but Anima. My loot came from guildmates trading me what they didnât need because they had better. Under the new system, my guild still has the option to trade me loot. We work as a team.
In my opinion, the only people who are in a situation where it feels everyone is out to screw them are the folks who pug their way through the game. Or those who canât trust their own team. The solution is the same: find friends. This is a massively multiplayer game where social interactions are intended. Utilize that instead of complaining that everyone is shafting you and asking for a design where other people donât matter.
This has nothing to do with LFR. which should never have been forced to GL.
Please just go back to personal loot, or at least bring it back as an option for normal and above raids and for sure make it the default for LFR.
No no no and no
I have lead a friends and family raid for the last 5 expansions. Zero loot drama under PL and plenty of drama under group loot both back in the day and now again in DF. For me this is just not a good loot system. It should be either master looter or personal loot. If blizzard feels we get too much loot under PL then the correct solution is to lower the drop rate of PL not to force everyone into an inferior option.
