The point being we sort of have to do the transmog farming now before those raids become harder to pug because no one does them or wait 7 years for them to be soloable…
Now is the time to do the transmog farming for this raid. They also haven’t even released the catalyst yet. We could have already started farming the looks weeks ago.

So probably already been said… but it sounds like the devs want you to vendor your tier loot, run lfr for transmog, then do an item restore. Working as intended.

The difference being eventually in a guild nobody needs power upgrades after a while and then everyone is rolling for transmog.

In a pug/LFR that point is never reached.

I run the same guild group with the same people every single week for months. Eventually everyone will get the gear and we can start all getting transmogs.

I have a different set of 29 other people every single LFR. Someone is always going to need the piece of loot I want for transmog, ALWAYS. There will never be a situation where those 29 people won’t, and if there is, it truly will be a miracle and I should play the lottery.

Yes, but I can respect them keeping it simple in the programming. Less chance for errors. and quite honestly all the people justifying tmog vs letting someone get their tier piece deserve this change. It is because of people like that, that we can’t have nice things.

It’s not just tier pieces, it’s all loot. You’re why we can’t have nice things. I can’t even collect transmog on my main from LFR now.

Creation Catalyst will be out on the 23rd and tier pieces will be a joke to get. This change lasts forever, there is no date where it goes away.

Well, it seems the big push is to go back to PL for LFR/pugs.

If that happens geared players can again go back into LFR and win tier items and use them for transmog instead of trading them to people who need the power upgrade.

All will be right with the world again because losing to a geared player with PL feels better than losing to a geared player with GL.

And after reading all the feedback I’m fine with this. Then just put in GL (or better yet ML) for 80% guild groups like Legion.

This GL change is the first time in the history of WoW that Blizzard, not a player, has told a player they don’t deserve an item that is eligible for their loot spec even though they were present for the kill in the history of the game so it’s kind of a big deal.
