People would talk because they want to be friendly with people. Thatâs why I do it. I donât care what sever theyâre on, we can be friends for the 25-30 mins weâre together.
You can invest in someone for 30 minutes. Not everyone you meet is going to be a life long friend, but we can at least try to be cool with each other and have a good time.

If you had other posts on this forum I would give you the benefit of the doubt on this thread and trolling, however, since you donât it appears you decided to post on an alt for the sole purpose of creating this thread.

Ummm. Big difference is LFD/LFR is successful and many use it. They arenât going to remove group finder. Your example of the Wall of No does not apply here and both are completely different in all aspects.

A. I didnât choose to post on an alt, when you make a new toon it automatically makes it the default (Also youâre posting on a 55 dk ironic.)
B. Just because people do ashran or warfronts or island expeditions doesnât mean its good. Itâs because the have limited choice.
I donât wanna interact with people, I just want my purples. If I wanted to talk to people I would have real life friends. The only reason I play is to get gear and show off in Stormwind while I ride my Celestial Steed.

I like island expeditions - they ARE good as long as I donât have to pug with people who want carries. They are great content when I do them with my friends though. See LFG doesnât need to be removed - if you donât like it you can just group up and do the content with your friends.
Although I am talking to someone who canât post on his normal posting character so maybe having a choice is too much for some people.

For this to work in WoW, the structure of the group finder (if we keep it in the game in some capacity) will have to be changed.
In fact, this is how FFXIV works for the most part. Not so much the old raids (which are self-contained side-stories), but a huge chunk of the dungeons and the âtrialsâ (stand-alone bosses with no trash) are mandatory to progress through the game.
⌠and theyâre ALL accessible through the Duty Finder.
In fact, itâs actually got a built-in âpermanent Timewalkingâ functionality so that thereâs a steady stream of players always doing the content. Itâs slightly different from WoWâs approach, you do lose some abilities to match the level of the content as well, but you always have the tools you need and youâre never just overpowering the content because it frequently adds in an item level sync if the gear scaling negates too much of the challenge.
This can work in WoW⌠and in fact, would probably open up HUGE chunks of the game. But some major re-balancing would be needed because of how bad theyâve let the difficulty of leveling content decay.

Cross realm grouping seems like it was more damaging to communities than the group finder - the group finder just uses cross realm.
You can, you have the option if you choose, to do the current content without using those tools though.
LFD is not required to enter a dungeon at any difficulty level. Stick to rated pvp if you want to skip the random line. Form groups in cities or from your guild.
Start a movement around it. Get the player base doing things the old way. Show them its not worth investing in those systems anymore because its not something the players want or use⌠& good luck with that.

Youâre projecting. Iâm discussing a real topic based on recent events with classic beta. Youâre attacking me personally for not posting on a high level charcter when youâre posting on a 55 dk. When you have to attack personally you have no argument.
Are you playing classic beta ? And I am not attacking you for not posting on a high level character. I am questioning the purpose of this thread because you chose to make it on a character with no posting history.

The tool is the core issue. The people are a symptom. People have grown up now in a game where talking has no merit. You join, zerg down bosses, quit.
You didnât have to talk to get into the group. You donât have to talk during the run. Itâs as simple as that. Thereâs no community because thereâs no socializing required.
Yes, we want to go back to the good ole days of players controlling content and deciding who goes where.
I want to be able to deny people dungeons and raids for any old reason including just to feel special.
âno loot for youâ is my official motto and if you want to see the inside of that cave, you will do so by my rules which include only loot for my friends and none for you until you prove yourself to me personally by a criteria that I redefine daily.
Yes, I realize that player content gating is part of the reason we needed the group finder in the first place.
While I deeply resent the developers short-circuiting my player power in this regard, rest assured that we will not repeat the mistakes of the past and cause major content gating and loot trolling, ooohhh no, that will never happen againâŚ
