Anecdotally: Just last night, in a Tol Dagor +5 (completed in time) while playing my Blood DK, I asked for input on whether we should open all the cells prior to Jes to help alleviate those pesky sanguine piles. Brief discussion, and we agreed to.
I’m sure you’ve experienced far worse, but to lump everything in one pile makes your argument look more like a rant and less well-reasoned.
I get youre trying to say and how you feel Magic but I think is retail WoW is way past a zero LFG experience. I think the best thing to do is just trying to be present and kind and strike up convos during leveling or out in the world
I’ve not seen this on Alliance side - I even had to AFK for about 1-2 minutes as a lock in Shadowfang Keep, no kick. I did communicate prior, and apologized profusely for being dead weight during that time.
As an aside, I generally say “hello” and engage in conversation, even just silly conversation, because I find it fun to be social.
Even though the tool may not be social, it doesn’t stop us from being social in the dungeon! Think of it like a blind date - make the most of it and vibe off other people and be nice - which you sound like you are.
What is sad is classic will probably be completely filled with people trying to sell dungeon runs.
These forums will be entertaining when people complain about all the sellers of runs and all the ninja looting threads - a little reminder of why personal loot will be awesome for some.
I wouldn’t be so comfortable. When the devs talk about classic they say they play it so much and they are many lessons to learn from it. You guys said the same thing about classic servers. You are not prepared :).
It’s not been my experience horde side either. While obviously no one is going to argue that there aren’t bad seeds out there, the claims of everyone being so horrible are in very large part completely hyperbolic.
So the funny thing to me is this is actually an easier fix than it sounds. They’ve already written the code in the Overwatch code base. They in theory could port it over and have it apply a reputation score that could potentially exclude massively toxic people from groups.
The “Classic is going to be awesome” people are much more annoying than the “Classic is going to suck” crowd.
It’s scary to think I’ll be able to say to most of the people playing Classic I played in Vanilla WoW before you were born/in diapers. Classic will not magically make people change.
I, personally, wouldn’t call them more annoying BUT I will say I find them to be more sad. Reason being a lot of times, this thread for example, those who refer to Classic so lovingly is because of “community”. I hate to tell you folks, but if you are representing the Classic community… that community has failed before it even officially releases.
I am crossing every body part capable of being crossed that they aren’t representative.
No no no no no no and no. These kinds of posts are exactly what I knew were gonna happen when they released classic wow. I do NOT want whatever is happening in classic to influence the retail game. I wouldn’t want retail features in classic either. Keep each game separate.
