Grobbulus vs. Deviate Delight, who will win?

So you went Grob?

But of course

Grob mob Grob mob!

I’ve never had an issue being on servers in different timezones. You do get the rush and lower populations at different times. But it’s never been a big deal. People just want something to fuss about.

That makes me wonder… While this whole thing was handled poorly by blizzard, it may have actually worked out for the best for those of us now choosing to play on DD. If the bulk of the pre-established p server guilds and RP cliques stay on grobb, DD could end up as a comparatively laid back server, with more open and organic community growth.

Fortunately i was able to hop onto Gobbulus this morning after work. The undeaders in the starting area were pretty chill and fun.

So Ysabeau will be staying there, now to find friends!

Half the people on Grob are EST

I’m playing warrior and my bro is rolling a priest on dd. Which side has people interested in WPVP and/or some pvp guilds? We’ve mainly been alli, but I wouldn’t mind playing as orc this go around

so this is how you RPers get off?! interesting… please tell me more of your travels

At 11pm est I was in a 10k deep queue on Grob. If people don’t transfer off that’s likely to be the case for weeks.

I rolled on Deviate Delight. Very happy so far.

I thought I’d share this.

I checked the latency again on Grob and I get 70-90ms. On DD, I get 18-25ms.

EDIT: I’m East cost

Hopefully it does. 10k queues are painful.

Think I’m going to join you. The east coast ping will be nice.

Sticking down with Grob  ED mainly went there so that’s where I’ll rest and hit 60

Yeah, I tested and it was 70-90 ms vs 18-25. Unfortunately, most people I know (Alliance) are on Grob.

Reading this thread is so sad. There is like a 4-5 hour queue to get on Grobbulus and a lot of people want to play. Complaining they’re “splitting the RP-PvP community” is ridiculous when it’s already split because people can’t even log in. While it’s great a few of you are totally fine waiting 5 hours every day, a lot of people aren’t because they have jobs or family obligations and actually want to play the game. The cattiness from Grobbulus people is pretty gross to read in this thread and on the discord. It’s very possible both servers could have happy, thriving communities. Would be nice to see RPers be respectful to each other over server decisions but it is the RP community, so it’s not very surprising to see.

I said the exact same thing yesterday. Even literally speaking, I’d rather split the community than have a server so cram full, you can’t do anything. I was on Grob last night after waiting an hour and 15 minutes in queue. Quest mobs around Goldshire had 10+ people running around for them.
