Glad our guild chose to xfer all of our toons to Faerlina with the free transfers when my server died.

This is so fun.

I love not being able to play.

All of my friends decided to come back and boosted their toons on benediction, but I wait in a four hour queue yesterday to try and make a character to level up to play with them, and low and behold by the time I got out of the queue the server was locked. So now I will probably miss the XP buff and all of the prepatch time to level in order to play with them.

More like 6 months too late, especially after Blizzard made Grobbulus the dumping ground for dying servers.

Locked means no new characters or what?

unlike full ( which should be the same tbh)
locked means that you can only create a new character if you already had a character there
no “new - new” characters allowed

What does it mean if a server is locked? Can you still transfer off?

Locks should of been here way before prepatch. Right when they finished closing down the dead servers. People on my server knew how crazy prepatch was gonna be with the waves of DKs and returning players.

It means that if you do not have a character already on the locked server, you cannot create any on the server, or transfer to it.

never go to a full server in the first place if it has more then 6000 or so people thats a huge sign or it should be anyway hmm this has 15k people lets go anyway then whine about queue ok makes sense

lol you made a mistake going to the biggest server online atm ol i feel nothing for you all you have to do is look at pop and see its the highest pop server

Blizz was dumb for not locking them. In fact, they were even more dumb for the consolidation of servers just 2 weeks before we started having queue times.

That alone tells me that they either aren’t cognizant enough to make a good decision or it’s some money making scheme OR they just can’t be bothered to put that much forethought into it.
