While not really well portrayed in-game, Nathanos basically escaped last minute with his tail between his legs. She also wiped out an entire camp in Darkshore with the flick of her wrist.
We’ve seen what Tyrande can do. She cut down a literal path of bodies in the Maw and went into Torghast for months speedrunning and ctrl+alt+deleted everything that moved. She is nowhere near weak.
There’s a fine line between being powerful and being overpowered. She’s just powerful, but has the tendency to be overpowered. She likely could’ve swayed the entirety of the war effort but the Alliance had to put a muzzle on her while Anduin negotiated peace with Saurfang.
So what about the importance of the title? And the analogy about the minister and the plowman?
Elune is a member of a Pantheon of Gods. Much like the Titans, Eternal Ones, etc…
She has an important title.

If she is the First (Before the Eternal?), Then she is the minister, and the Pantheon and the Eternals are plowmen. And if she is a member of the Pantheon “the force of comology” then she is a plowman.
She’s still a goddess. Just because she has a superior doesn’t mean she’s anything less of a god.

What does it mean?
I don’t know (don’t remember) why it is so important that Elune is the First (Before the Eternal).
I seemed to be interested in the level of power. Yes. The status of the First (minister) will explain the rare and pinpoint (small) intervention. If she is a member of the Pantheon, then she will be a plowman. And ploughmen are able to strongly influence the world. The Titans were very influential. The Jailer influenced the world through the Lich King. Why did the chosen ones of a creature like the Titans and the Jailer receive help in the form of anesthesia for an already severed arm?

The point was that during her entire Night Warrior arc, she was never portrayed as particularly strong or stronger than before.
She lost to Nathanos in 8.1 and needed Malfurions help, then she managed to kill a Nathanos that wanted to die during the pre patch, that was also at 10% hp.
She killed a bunch of mawsworn troops… but Jaina or the PC did the exact same thing. I can’t think of much else that she did before she lost her Night Warrior powers.
Maybe Blizz wanted to portray her as strong, but they failed to do so miserably in over 2 years of Tyrande being the Night Warrior.

So it makes sense. Jaina is infused with Titanic power after Throne of Thunder, and the PC is infused with the power of Azeroth. Tyrande is infused with the power of a member of the Pantheon of Life.
Following the Tyrande Questline.
Also, Freya and Eonar are members of the Order Pantheon. Making Freya her sister would be a massive insult to the Winter Queen, and wouldn’t make any sense since Freya is a literal robot.

They still don’t explicitly say the WQ’s sister is Elune, they just say her sister is of the Pantheon of Life. There’s still wiggle room for it to be Eonar or Freya.
If Elune was the WQ sister she would have had a bigger reaction to Tyrande being a night warrior, it seems like she has no qualms having Night Warriors in her realm.
Im still holding out hope it’s Freya.

Eonar, Freya - the union of Order and Life. Or the ideal mimicry of Titan from the representative of the Pantheon of life. The goal is to spread the influence of Life throughout the universe. An additional goal is to destroy the structures of the Titans, using the Life brought into the world. Capture the soul of the world.

That is where the discussion IMO might end. The intentions could be whatever, if the execution fails to deliver the impact needed to have no questions about the story element.
Next time we get another horde character being portrayed as evil maniac, I hope you’ll say the same since the horde been shown that it can do shady messy stuff.
Troubles that are highlighted with all the mess around night elves, are not exclusive to them. Same questionable ways of handling the story plague all the other parts.
Thing is, if the players forgive such treatment of the story in one part, it will further damage the others, as is actively demonstrated for a while.
Yeah, there was a stale in-game cinematic released with the Shadowlands pre-patch. Such a great display. “Tyrande got her revenge”.
We would see, if she would be at the Orgrimmar where she by all means should’ve been. If we would see how when other leaders were abducted, she got away. Or once she confronts those who made her taking the power the only choice she had for her people.
“Show, don’t tell”. What is told about importance or weight of things is barely relevant in a visual media IMO.
Define “deity” then, if the pantheon was denied such titles?
It’s been confirmed for a while, that the WQ is a titan keeper creature, power-wise, not by origin.

Yes, because a Favorites Playing Goddess we knew little to nothing concrete about being labelled as Titan/Eternal/Void God tier, and who’s ONLY been known to associate with deeply Life Domain related beings, being of the Life Cosmology is exactly the same as this. How DARE Blizz not ensure Elune is a First One or Higher? I guess … because being a Universal Tier being is somehow an insult?
And need I remind you that Bwonsamdi almost got villain batted in SLs? They only chose not to because they liked his VA, and because of the Zappyboi phenomena. This isn’t “Villain Batting” Elune, this is merely placing her in the Life Cosmology. Which again, is the Universal Domain she has always exclusively interacted with. She only has relationships with that universal force and those cultures that deeply reflect it.

Pantheon Definition:
a group of particularly respected, famous, or important people.
“the pantheon of the all-time greats”
all the gods of a people or religion collectively.
“the deities of the Hindu pantheon”
Elune is worshipped. There is a religion around her. She’s as much a god as everyone else.

Well, he had some shady things about him, so it would be fine to only focus on those, right?
[IMO - no, it’s a horrible take that is a plague to the story. Which is why it’s odd when it’s justified in some areas, and then people act surprised after the identical treatment of “let’s ingore all but a few convenient elements” applied elsewhere]

No, the problem is that you have a creture that is said not to be like everyone else.

that is where the old lore continues to fall apart.
Now, there is debate if the old lore should be respected, if it’s better if all the old players quit the game so that the new generation can enjoy it, etc. But that’s a different topic entirely.

No, their problem is that if Elune is not a First One or Higher, than that means the NEs aren’t the chosen people of the One True God in the ENTIRE Warcraft Universe; and rather of a “Lesser Being”. Elune would be rendered a mere small “g” god, rather than the one true "G"od. And if she’s not that, that somehow makes the NEs less “special” I guess? They can’t be like all those primitive Light/Loa/Wild God/Earth Mother worshippers. They’re of inferior stock and faith, and aren’t chosen at all.

Agreed. The thing is, Elune has never ever been represented to be more than Titan/Eternal One levels of power.
First Ones crafted the fabric of reality, and if Elune really was a First One, it’d be a big issue since the First Ones are essentially presumed dead (though I doubt that), and could probably just ctrl+alt+delete any conflict ever.
