Griefing WSG As a Premade Mostly Streamers

An exploit by definition can be a simple chain of mechanics, all used as intended, to produce an unintended result. It isn’t necessarily breaking anything directly.

Blizzard added the timer after vanilla. They aren’t going out of bounds or doing anything outside of the rules. If the Horde cave can’t be moved until after vanilla, then the timer shouldn’t be added to WSG until after vanilla.

It was an intended result

Everyone knew that existed when they made classic

Very very simple and predictable interactions going on here lol

Carebear alert!!! There is a pvp solution to this. Get a better team

Heartseeker. There are no “good” players. Just people who run away from fights.

Perhaps we think so, but the game developer didn’t.

They again knew it existed when they implmented classic

They decided the amount of $ they spent on reports and the implied negative gamer experience meant it was bad for business

That doesn’t make it an exploit

Oh please. Like you have any actual clue what heartseeker is like. Guess what every server has timid alliance and the stupidest among them are the ones who try to judge each other based solely off what server they are on. Grats.

At that point it seems more a matter of semantics. It seemed to have a negative impact on players according to Blizzard, they dubbed it whatever-you-will, and took programmatic measure to remove it :man_shrugging:

Uhh not really

It would be semantics had they banned even a single person for it

As it is clearly a $ move

edit - it’s griefing maybe, lol

Heartseeker more like pveseeker amirite?

Think what you want. We treasure our horde on heartseeker and pvp with them very fairly. Ask around.

Trolling culture… kids think its funny. I don’t understand but it’s an obvious cry for attention likely derived from some serious mental issues.

It’s more like, “the match was at a good pace then they decided to spam our ears with constant noise and flooding the chat with game text and I’d like to deal with it by not having to leave a good match.”

The action taken doesn’t indicate the categorization of what brought the action about though.

I can exploit and not get banned, like when I used to sell tours to Underground Stormwind in vanilla. And I can get banned without exploiting.

Based upon the definition of a gaming exploit:

In video games, an exploit is the use of a bug or glitches, game system (portal causing BG removal, and Mind Control), rates, hit boxes, speed or level design (portal location) etc. by a player to their advantage in a manner not intended by the game’s designers (forcing players out of BG and to take a debuff) Exploits have been classified as a form of cheating; however, the precise determination of what is or is not considered an exploit can be controversial. This debate stems from a number of factors but typically involves the argument that the issues are part of the game and require no changes or external programs to take advantage of them.

Seems to tick every box =/

I don’t know that it falls under the category of exploit.
It 100% falls under Griefing thought…

Player in a multiplayer video game who deliberately irritates and harasses other players within the game, using aspects of the game in unintended ways.

No it’s not. Learn how to win.

Oh man people forced you to fight instead of farm honor in a pvp zone ? The horror of it all!

I mean, you DO have the capability to just kill that player.

If what they did warrants disciplinary actions, then I think your name does as well.
