I’m spec’d as Assassination, but the Vault is generating loot for Subtlety. Is this a bug that anyone else is experiencing, or am I missing something?
EDIT: I had my loot Specialization Set to a spec I wasn’t current playing. Had no idea that was a thing. Thanks everyone who helped!
How did the Vault “generate for Subtlety?”
Thats what the loading bar is saying as I’m going to open it. “Generating loot for Subtlety” which isn’t what I’m currently spec’d as.
I earned most of my PvP honor from last week as Sub, though. Is that what’s happening?
Do you have your loot specialization set to subtlety? Because that might explain it.
is your loot spec set to sub? it’s possible to choose a loot spec that isn’t your current spec. you may have done it by accident.
also the loot is the same man its only different when outlaw

Sin and Sub use the exact same type of gear, down to the exact same type of weapon.

Your loot spec and current spec can be different. Make sure you have the right one selected. Does it matter though? With the exception of sub wanting daggers can’t both specs equip all the same things?
Stats are different though.
Different specs get different loot in broad strokes, like a DK who has their loot set to Frost will never get a 2H weapon in their vault.
It doesn’t mean you’ll get gear that is perfectly optimized for that spec.
Assassination and Subtlety both have identical loot tables, as they’re both dagger using Rogues. The only difference it makes for Rogues is whether you set it to Outlaw or not, because Outlaw uses different weapons.
Sub rogue for PvP is Versatility/Mastery secondaries, while Sin is Verse/Haste
No loot would ever be generated with stats in mind.
Yeah but the game doesn’t give you loot based on stats. It gives you loot based on what you can use for that spec. For Sin and for Sub that’s leather gear, Agility-based or Melee-friendly trinkets, and daggers.

That would explain why I got all Crit/Verse gear! Oh well, I only lost 1% haste and got a very expensive chest piece that I don’t have to buy now.
You need to select loot specialization as Assassination not spec into Assassination
