Diversity of interest doesn’t match demographics.
If company has 10 positions and 100 people apply, 90 are men, 10 are women, statistically the top 10 candidates will be 9 men and 1 women.
If the goal is equal outcomes you have two options.
- Unevenly adjust standards to meet quotas
- Force people into professions to get equality of interest.
The former isn’t good for anyone, the customers, the company, or the employees that now have to deal with the taint of being a diversity hire. The latter is a straight up authoritarian dystopia.
If the most qualified individuals happen to not match the quota they need to fill, they will be turned down and the position will go to the next most qualified individual who does.
Calling something nonsense doesn’t make it true. You need to actually prove it is nonsense by formulating an rational argument.

Sorry but if someone thinks that’s it’s ok to let a child play in a car at 40 MPH, regardless of where they’re from, they’re a moron and in no way should be in any way involved in any kind of safety-related design work.
Traffic accidents happen all the time at speeds of 40 MPH or less. In fact that describes the majority of traffic accidents. And a kid without a seatbelt in an accident like that is very much at risk of injury or death.
