Great Glorious Alliance eye patches

Isn’t Vol’jin still dead though?

No it wasn’t. Not in WoW. There was only incompetent writers unable to write a war in which both sides are equally at fault and terrible. And after seeing where the Arbiter sent Garrosh, the “he did nothing wrong” holds no water. He did plenty wrong. But that’s a tangent. The fact is that Horde players didn’t mind war. We minded being villain batted for no reason and ine sidedly.

I have no idea. Someone said something about him being back? Wasn’t sure if there was something new on the PTR, or if they were just talking about him becoming a Loa.

I think that’s what they mean. He’s becoming a Loa. Probably taking Rezan’s place as Loa of Kings.

I think the current speculation is that he might come back at the same time Malfurion inevitably will.

What blizzard did to Sylvanas and how they handled her character is one of the worst things they did in recent memory. They assassinated her character because two grown men couldn’t get along enough to write her character in a coherent fashion. I’m gonna remain salty about that for a long long time

As you should.

Sylvanas was one of the best/most promising characters to come out of WC3:TFT. WoW did a lot of damage to her, particularly around Cataclysm. Gone was the Banshee Queen whom used subterfuge and strategy to outwit her opponents when at an overwhelming disadvantage, and emerge victorious. Instead she just threw Blight and Val’kyr at all her problems as her personal I.W.I.N. buttons. From there it was just a downward spiral into awful.

Be strict and effective = evil

Strong rebellious youth energy (“f you dad”) is in this thread. Trying to compensate in game for being forced to do home chores? Ha-ha.

High elves of that era are basically humans with pointed ears that got lost on their way to a LOTR convention. No one ever accused the Alliance (either current Alliance or Grand Glorious Alliance) of being interesting or original.

I think Taurajo is important, not for what the human Alliance did, but for what the Baine Alliance did immediately after.

They were Horde. Then they were villain-batted and either died or left the Horde. That’s what “losing a character” means too

Can’t upvote this enough

It breaks down to Afrasiabi executing revenge on Metzen for killing Garrosh.

Magni and Bolvar are alive. Cairne and Dranosh are dead. And Sylvanas and Gallywix are villains. You see the difference how Blizzard acts when it comes to leading characters of both factions no?

So losing a character involved them no longer being a part of their faction?

The Alliance list just eclipsed the Horde list thanks to neutral factions.

I know whats worse. Having a raid or scenario where you are forced to aid the other faction of killing your own population. Which happened with Orgrimmar and Zuldazar.

Remind me again when a neutral alliance character acted against the interests of their own former faction. It happened twice with the Horde. thrice when we count Valeera spying for Anduin.

None, of course. Why would we and the Alliance Devs ever allow that to happen? Of course the Horde’s neutral characters should always backstab the Horde. I mean, the Horde is just plain evil, so anyone who leaves it actually has a conscious. That’s why those neutral characters get… a less sucky deal all around compared to Horde characters.

It’s cute that you think I fall for this bait.

What bait?

You’ve been right all along, Erevien. The continued suffering of the Horde, the death of it’s best characters, the fact we even went into an alternate timeline to kill them twice, it’s all part of a grand conspiracy of Alliance players and the entire dev team which is 100% Alliance Biased, especially Ion.

You know Swtor doesn’t have this problem. The Empire is evil yes but they have their own story broken apart from the main plot where they can win all their goals. The Horde couldn’t do that. Their story connected to the Alliance in the war campaign and Blizzard decided to make us lose. Everything what cames after Patch 8.1 was destroying the entire Horde lore with no consequences for the alliance. They went in guns blazing, won and left demolishing the faction beyond repair.
