Ah ok. I mean I have the Tyraels charger. Just couldn’t remember how I got it lol. And did play Hearthstone just long enough to get that mount also, and haven’t played it since lol.
Okay, lol.
The charger came from the MOP/Diablo promotion. Be subbed I think to WOW for a year and get the mount and Diablo free.
Same I did the whole three games and the intro for mercenaries to get the rat…and my illustrious hearthstone career is over, yet again.
Yeah, I did the subscription thing for Mop. I remember it now. Mostly, because you got the Mop beta pass also.
Because for all I know at Blizzcon the “in-game” could have been a Diablo III mount. These are inconsistencies.
Exactly, it isn’t inconsistent at all, it is literally vague on purpose. They can bring the mount to D4 soon and their promo will still be right because of how vague it is.
I don’t like the shady practice, and believe if we want Blizzard to do better we need to hold them to higher standards and not let this type of behavior slide because “every business does it”.
Then you gotta stop buying into these promos. Blizzard is literally not the only company that does this and nowhere near as harmful to the actual stuff they do that is harmful. Nobody cares about vague promos, they are vague on purpose because of the pepsi challenge. All promos are like this for a reason.
I do want blizzard to be better but vague promos like this is normal in American promotions.
Yeah I just couldn’t get into Hearthstone. There was one card game I loved once upon a time. It was a game that was for nintendos first handheld console. The DS or something. Can’t remeber the name of the game sadly. Wasn’t pokemon, or yu gi oh or whatever that game was called. But you did card battle against monsters. Anyhow was a fun game for the early 90’s
I think this is treading on dangerous ground. I would like to them to please reconsider going down this pathway that seems to be gathering more steam the past couple of years.
I am for new players or players that were not active during certain times to get access to certain skins or mounts.
Still I believe they need to make an alteration or modification. Something as small as a recolour would be sufficent.
So it does not upset the structure of the market for ingame. I didn’t agree with Feldrake either for a promotional mount as TCG mounts are a more rare commodity and sell for higher because of this. Why I say they need to be more careful.
I have seen several people asking for Brutosaur to make a come back besides only at the BM. I wouldn’t want to see the original colour have a mass release. Maybe a nice blue or red doesn’t matter the colour. So that way other players can still have that experience too.
Some people might argue colours wouldn’t make much of a difference. I would retort they really don’t know the online game space then. I mean a lot of games have dye systems and make people pay top dollar for very expensive dyes. Yes players can be this fickle. Also the owner of the original concept can still feel they put their money towards something that was actually limited.
I don’t believe a recolour or small adjustment is unrealistic. I can’t see it taking as much time and money as a new original concept. New concept is obviously more ideal. I know I am going to go pick up the Steed on FF14 not because it is some small alteration/modification but it is a mount I have never seen in that game.
Please be more careful with repackaging and reselling old concepts. It might upset the balance of the market and further anger a lot of customers. I believe small tweaks are the better solution but by far not the best.
they should have just gave us a duck mount
BITE YOUR TONGUE! GOOD DAY SIR!
I thought we were friends:O( Next youll tell me you were against the Mexican Pizza too
“The mount is currently unobtainable.”
What I get from that line is …right now you can’t get it. No where did it say it would never be released again.
I understand where you are coming from but from reading both, I do not see anywhere that states it would never be released again…
It’s pixels from 10 years ago.
So I guess I read this differently than others.
“For a limited time only”
This offer will be available for a limited time only. The promotional offer was limited time. I’m not reading anything that says they will never offer the mount in another way. Honestly surprised it took them this long to do it.
Yes I got this mount during the limited time offer. No, I don’t care it’s in the shop for two weeks. I’ve had this mount over a decade. Others would like it. Let others enjoy.
And water is wet. A promotional offer is, by definition, limited time. What you’re suggesting is redundant at best.
They said exactly what they meant. They NEVER said Tyrael’s Charger was never gonna return. They said that promotional offer was available for a certain period.
This particular offering was a limited time only! This new offering isn’t the same as the old one.
Ooooo too bad so sad. You aint special no mo.
How do you get it now?
Whales gonna wail
Ok and? So what who cares just some pixels lol
I have it, don’t care but let me give some insight as to someone who comes from a backround in service industries:
Limited time is nothing but a sales gimmick, it gets people “on the fear of missing out” or “stock is actually in limited supply at that current time frame.” Usually when said product is at it’s cheapest to make, and that’s when it can be the most profitable. “For a limited time” Is just what it means, within that timeframe. doesn’t mean it won’t come back.
The classic example everyone in this thread is giving is the Mcrib. Whether you like the sandwich or not, isn’t part of the debate. It returns almost every year at the same timeframe. Why? Pork scraps are at it’s cheapest starting in November, and it’s when profit margins are at it’s highest. The sandwich is a “limited time only” as long as the price of the meat is cheap. Then “mysteriously vanishes” when the price of it rises again, and the cycle repeat.
While digital assets are different on this front, the same logic applies. “Limited time only” It’s just business speak for enticing customers on the fear of missing out. In the restaurant industry, we refer to these as “specials”. We have a specials rotation, depending on the month and what could possible entice more people to come in. Doesn’t mean we arn’t gonna make it again. You just don’t know when it’s gonna return.
I don’t get all the fuss with people getting a chance at mounts that have long gone. I myself have this mount and don’t care one lick about who else has it. I’ve missed out myself on limited items because of just not playing, which hopefully i’ll get the chance to get myself with the trading post.
