Grats blizz personal loot working as intended

Our rogue picked up a 385 cloak with socket, then 2 boss’s later gets a 395 cloak off zul with no socket that he doesn’t need, but cant trade it to anyone since its highest ilvl.

Thanks for the amazing loot system its been nothing but happy days since master loot was removed for us good job

Anecdotal evidence imo

It happens all the time. Just like each different weapon type counts as it’s own. Got 385 staff and a 375 dagger drops? Congrats can’t trade dagger

I think in a decade I will still face palm when I think about how stupid removing master looter was. Other companies should take notes on this. It’s just the cobra effect in action. Try to fix a problem and the solution is worse and they are too proud to back track even though its obvious they should.

I think that’s a totally stupid concept, and I don’t even raid.

I’ve been ponderizing (yes I said it  on this alot

I would like to see some changes made. For guild/community runs I would like to see an escalating ilvl cushion as a tier progresses and more and more often an ilvl upgrade is not an upgrade. The scaling on this I won’t even suggest, though starting at 5 and ending at 15 seems good to me.

On top of that I think that from the start sockets/secondary stats should be given an ilvl equivalance to allow for trading higher ilvl items with no socket/secondary stats.

my instance is a cut and dry example of why this system fails. getting the highest ilevel rewards for PVE content and having them go to people that dont need them and cant trade them.

Might as well create a system that loots plate to cloth users, that would be exactly whats happening right now.

Huh, I did not disagree with you on that.

Did you read what I typed? My suggestion would most likely have resolved this instance in the way you would have liked.

My sympathies for your frustration.

Sorry Mr. Warrior on our raid team that had to wait 10 weeks for a weapon drop on Taloc because all the ones that did were either their first 385 or it warforged. The trials need to get the loot they were already getting on successful teams.

Real story by the way…

If it isn’t broke, break it.

I like personal loot as long as it can be scrapped for currency and/or traded

But allow it to be traded but no master loot. That gives way too much power to one greedy person.

Well if you treated your trials and core raider equally they wouldn’t have an excuse to cling on to remove it… but oh well adapt and move on…

While I’m fine with the trading option as well, the theory that ML was mainly used to feed gear to one person is flat out wrong.

Its all Anecdotal and its all fairly true. Tons of people have gotten loot they simply do not need (be it stats or an unwanted item) and could not trade it. If they are going to keep this PL only stuff at least make it a flexible system.

What can I say but… GRATS!!

Another ML thread, another Wariya post claiming that anyone remotely pro-ML just hates trials.

Guilds have adapted, that doesn’t mean that the system isn’t stupid.

well its already been stated that as far as progression goes, they were able to tone down the difficulty of many fights because they didnt have to worry about top guilds using masterloot to gear up their mains or feed gear to one class and instead are now forced to have a relatively even progression between most of the raid members. i think people who complain about master loot being gone just want the feeling of control rather than the current luck and wasted loot, and the people who complained about ML being abused just werent smart enough to avoid bad situations.
