One thing I read is that the game forces balancing. So an area might have a lot of horde in small groups or solo doing quests or w/e. Then the same number of alliance exsist as a raid that is farming an fp because it’s people who just want the item and dont actually care about wpvp.
Makes sense to me.
Still though I think horde can take a beating for a while lol.

I honestly don’t want to see either side get hit by deathball gank squads over and over. It ruins the fun of wpvp but it happens to both factions.
I’d love to hear a reasonable suggestion from those who think gear isn’t the answer. Do they honestly think people will turn it on for 30%? I only care about the buff if I’m leveling. It means jackall to me outside of that. Do other alliance actually want the 30% enough to turn on warmode for it?

Yea I’m not a fan of wm. Kinda encouraged this behavior.
Wish they would have just combined PvP servers while keeping populations in mind. WOD wpvp on ed was da bomb.

I say boost the 30% to something higher. 100% might be too bananas, maybe start with 50% or 60%? Or offer gold rewards? Nothing that will skew the MDI or other aspects of the game they are building into an esport.
Well a 400 ilevel item wasn’t enough, speaking for myself. I was more losing interest in WoW due to them devaluing hard work, than I was tempted to go Alliance again. Maybe if my friends really wanted to then I’d join them. But I’d kinda hope they don’t. I like the Horde’s culture, ambiance, vibe, theme, and whatnot. And I’d have to redo the theme of my computer room.

Blue is a pretty color too!
I think alliance may want something tangible to jump into wpvp in a horde dominant expansion. Maybe gold is enough but it doesn’t motivate me. There are too many ways I can make gold without it.
I don’t know what will motivate them. I’ve had it on all along without any added incentive. I think regardless to the incentive there will be horde who complain it isn’t fair. And yes, Alliance would do the same if it were the other way around.

Blizzard will just have to ignore the ones that kick and scream saying it is unfair. Once they can do that then they can start giving incentives to go alliance.

You’re not wrong, maybe for cars or Bic lighters - but you can’t see all the Chicago Blackhawks crap in that photo.

Transfered alliance tonight got a 385 weapon from emmisary then a 400 wrist from and then a 400 ilvl weapon.
To bad i turned in the emmisary before i got my 400 weapon so i got 2 feral weapons.
Next week ill kill 25 horde for a 385 and then due the world boss tree for 2 additional chances at 400 ilvl loot.
it was a month in to the xpac tho, who wasn’t 320 by then? that’s less than the original heroic dungeon ilvl? as for alts there were terrible mechanics in play at the time making them worthless so not many were playing or leveling them, in fact i changes class a week before the war front dropped and i was 340+ before doing it. also there is the fact that you got the same gear a week later, even if it was under a restriction the other faction didn’t face you were still offered a chance at it… so why dont we require horde to be 320 ilvl to receive the pvp quest and bam its now fair by your standard seeing as alliance have no ilvl restriction.
also 320 ilvl was 35 ilvls below normal raid at the time, so i would be ok with requiring horde to have 350 ilvl for the free 400 piece quest and bam nothing to complain about

Well seeing they added 370 gear for doing that quest back in December, and the buff stayed in Alliances favor, safe to assume Alliance turn on WM do the quest and turn it off.
How does that make it safe to assume? It’s possible alliance are just outnumbered even with the incentive. Battlegrounds offer incentives too and we’re still outnumbered there according to the enlistment bonus and merc being available.
Just because we read it on the forums and it fits our agenda doesn’t make it true.

In battle grounds, i think it’s because allies are prone to losing (or so they seem to think) so they don’t Q. Can’t really blame being outnumbered in a fair (battleground) fight.
Though i guess some can say racials, even though for PVP allies have top 3 of 4 currently.

Or maybe alliance are actually outnumbered. Why is that not even a possibility?
I would guess that there are players who do turn warmode off after finishing the quest. They’re probably the same ones who afk a bg at the first sign of struggle but it’s still just a stab in the dark.
Alliance have kept the enlistment bonus for all of BfA so why is it so hard to accept the same may apply in warmode?

Lol too obvious has to be a conspiracy!

Considering numbers were about even at the beginning of the expansion, it’s very safe to assume it’s because alliance are turning it off like they did in the beginning.
Ion also said that as more alliance turned warmode off after initial sharding issues, and word got out that horde got a free ride for their 10%, more horde turned warmode on.
Genuinely interested where you’re getting the info that alliance are doing the quest and turning warmode off.

From players on here who claim to do just that.
TBF forums are a minority of a minority.
