I know a few off the top of my head that would. I don’t mind the new system I just hate the gearing holes it leaves, especially if you DW or end up MH/OH.

I had friends ask me about it, but I told them straight out it’s the same thing as start of bfa with different overtuned classes.

Gear is easier to get, but all they did was up the bottom and top end to make old gear obsolete.

They didn’t come back.

I figure the 30% bonus should be enough, why did they need to give welfare gear too? I mean I get it’s hard to give that up but I am just curious. Most of the “raids” you saw were probably just a couple Horde groups questing. The 30% should be all you need to get Alliance grouped up questing too.

I don’t see the point in the 30% bonus. If you have allied races unlocked then you don’t need the rep. If your character is 120 then you don’t need the xp. The azerite from the wq’s still suck in comparison to island expedition. Tmog runs in older raids/dungeons give you better gold.

They would have to bump it to 100% to really change anything if they took the loot away.

Ok give both sides 100% and no welfare loot, keep WQ conquest in place. Let’s see what happens. Nobody is favored.

It’s because the top tier raiders are still all on horde side along with the majority of pvpers. They could do what they have done in the past which is to overbuff the alliance racials and cause another switch.

But instead they are trying to equalize the numerical imbalances, first through war-mode and now it seems through gear.

Alliance racials are actually better in PVP, believe it or not. If you goto somewhere like bloodmallet and compare all the races for your class (or any class), the damage is pretty equal across the board. it counts the on-use racials like Berserking as well as the 1% crit passives and such.

In the top 4 races for damage, 3 are alliance. And the spread is only 100 dps. A slight upgrade to an item would nullify that.

Then consider what isn’t calculated, the utlity racials, such as Shadowmeld, Stoneskin, whatever your DI racial’s called, etc. You’re doing troll/orc damage but with defensive abilities we lack (except perhaps orc).

They are better but not nearly enough that it warrants a mass exodus of the horde. In legion BE racial was god op for mythic dungeons as it bypassed certain mechanics. Along with Be you had troll mini blood lust which were invaluable. Top tier players left followed by lower tier sheep leaving the alliance with a smaller raiding and pvp community

Blizzard could repeat their prior expacs and overbuff certain racials making it a must have for raids and pvp. In which case the horde players would leave to join the alliance and we would be back to where we were in WOD.

Not sure if you saw the news, but those top end guilds are going Alliance for the items then flipping right back. Some fix. They’re trying to fix multiple problems with multiple fixes in one go, that never works.

If your computer is having problems don’t just replace half the components willy nilly on a whim. You have to go through an ordered troubleshooting process to find and resolve the actual issue. Overdoing it for the first step is just a waste of money and you’ll likely cause yourself other problems.

You’re from ED so I can talk to you like a fellow EDer (I was there for years until recently). All they’re encouraging is WSB-like behavior.

I didn’t say their strategy is working. But they are trying alternative solutions rather than the overbuff of a racial.

You wanted to know why the alliance is getting buffs and free stuff along with the bonus and I told you. Otherwise you can settle for their old solution of factions taking turns.

Many Horde turning off Warmode, Alliance complaining about not being able to find Horde to kill and…Ion says the bonus for Alliance might go ALL THE WAY DOWN TO 25% next week!

Well I feel like the only thing I can do as a player is turn off War Mode for the week in protest in an attempt to help get us the bonus items.

That’s by far the lousiest solution I can think of.

Maybe if the bonus flipped on an hour-by-hour basis or something. Because I’m sure you have a lot of players who turn on War Mode to stomp around for the Invasion item and the 400 welfare piece, but then turn it off right afterwards. In the “war mode” metrics those players would be like 80% war mode off, and still need “incentive” despite having gotten the incentive, and plan to do the exact same thing next week and all weeks afterwards. Nothing will change.

I have no idea how to fix this, it’s absolutely silly.

Give a weekly warmode bar above the conquest bar. WM kills fill the bar up. If more than 4 friendlies are within 40 yards then the bar doesn’t go up.

They nerfed it to 385 now, according to Ion. Though this week they’re still keep the 400

I doubt you would receive bonus items. In September the top 500 mythic guilds had around 80% of it represented by the horde, meaning 20% was alliance.

I think this quest was to help alliance raiders while also increasing the incentives for alliance players to pvp. Of course I don’t see this changing the population numbers.

On the plus side though I get to read lots of horde qq threads on this subject, feels good man. I love it because random alliance players having a single 400 piece wont actually have an impact on the vast majority of players complaining about it. Unless you are a world first/server first raider this won’t be an issue for you.

But this was going to be a weekly… That’s pretty game changing this early imo. Glad they are bumping it down though.

is this from warfronts? or a pvp quest? because warfronts swap.
