Graphics Driver Out of Date

Hi, I’m not sure this is the right category to put this under but it seemed the best option.

I updated my launcher and bought an external SSD so that I could run the prepatch, and eventually Shadowlands content. When the server opened up it showed me a window that said that my graphics driver was out of date, I followed the link to the directions, followed the directions and installed Radeon Adrenalin gaming graphics software from AMD and it worked fine, the window went away all was good. A couple log inside later the window popped up again, went through the install process all over again because the Radeon app wouldn’t open and then once again everything worked fine and the window was gone. But then it came again today…

If y’all have any advice for me or some kind of explanation as to why it’s doing this I appreciate any help.

You would be better off asking this over in the Tech Support forum. There are a couple recent threads over there from other players having the same issue. One possible cause mentioned is that your video card is below the minimum requirements for WOW; another is that the GPU is so old that driver updates are no longer being issued for it and the game is picking up on that.

You may want to check your recent windows updates. Microsoft has a habit of sometimes re-installing old drivers if they are not aware that what you have is a newer version.

Regardless of the message, can you still play the game?
