Got squeakers for free, now it's gone?

I don’t even understand how this game works anymore.

You get something, then it’s taken away the next day… like what

is it actually gone?
…or just not visible in your collections tab?

have you ruled out the possibility of a display issue?
are you able to mount it at all?

…and why would you post this here instead of CS? …none of us can see what’s going on with your account, and we can only guess at what the ACTUAL situation is…

You’re going to have to bring this up with Customer Service/Bug Report/Support Ticket. We can’t assist you as we don’t know what’s wrong.

Have you tried disabling addons and reloading your UI? Have you tried logging into a different character to see?

You could also try typing “Squeakers” into the search bar of the mount preview and try right clicking > mount and see if it’s just visually displaying wrong. Sometimes directly using an ability from it’s pane works even when a hotbar icon doesn’t.

Been using it all week, now it’s unusable on my action bar and unobtained in my collection.

Dunno, figured I maybe wasn’t the only one… they didn’t give me any message explaining why it was taken off my characters, either. Quality of this game is so low now.

This is definitely a bug or error of some kind. They do not simply remove purchases like this without a big statement (in fact, I can not recall it ever happening). The only thing I could think of would be if it was a bugged item and they temporarily disabled it but we’d have an announcement for that.

This is likely a UI conflict such as an addon or a corrupted file in the cache files. One of the first steps they’d likely have you do is to reset your user interface. This will reset everything back to factory default, so I recommend making a backup copy of the files it tells you to delete. (If it doesn’t fix it you can put the backups back into the folders and have everything back)

Edit:

The current article tells you to rename the folders instead of deleting them. You can simply rename them as you’re instructed and then rename them back to normal if the issue is not resolved.

I’ll ask again… have you tried mounting it?
…not with the icon on your bars, but by casting the mount directly?

I do not believe you can “cancel” in that sense. The 6-Month Subscription combo with Squeakers bills the full 6 months at once; it’s not an agreement to pay each month.

So even if you canceled you’d have already paid the amount requested and would have active game time throughout the mandatory period. If he paid for the subscription and got the mount, canceling auto-renew shouldn’t have any impact; he’s already paid the full 6 months.

Not sure how you got the mount in the first place. You say it was free so that means a 6 month sub.

New sub or reoccurring?

Did you have enough funds in the account if it was a reoccurring sub? Did your bank put a stop on your account? Did you do a charge back?

There’s several possibilities you haven’t given any information to. Also have you even looked at your account page to see if the charges failed?

I’ve sort of felt like the OP all expansion long. It’s like my 30 years of video game instincts no longer apply to a game I have played actively for a good third of its existence.

I feel like I bump into an arbitrary restriction on what is available to my character a lot of the time.

Personally, I don’t like it when I fail at something and am only given the correct directions after the failure. It’s like a bad drill sergeant…

I’m taking a break from current content. I won’t be putting much effort into 8.3 content until it’s ironed a bit.

I happened to take a break around the time Nazj and Mech were released. Turned out, the break was fortunate. I returned as the most unpopular problems had been somewhat addressed.

Blizz is gaining a reputation, to THIS player, of not being ready on launch day. I’m not talking about the process, but the product. They are no longer ready to deliver their software on launch day.

Any time they launch new software, it’s a good time to take a break for at least a week, probably more.

not really… the part which says “in certain situations” means that there are situations which wouldn’t require an account lock.

I didn’t mention his account being locked, more so that he would lose everything ( Game time + Mount )

I don’t get why it has to be a sub to get the mount bundled with it. You pay the same amount if you buy 6 months of game time instead of a 6 month sub. Why shouldn’t I get the mount that way?
