Did you have a 6 month sub and then cancel it right after getting this mount?
What do you mean by got it for “free?”
Did someone else pay for the 6 month sub? Or was it from your own debit/credit.
They don’t just remove mounts unless there is some underlying issue.
If the the transaction is being disputed that could be one reason, or it could be as simple as addons interfering with it.
In any case your best bet is to check with customer support.
But if he still had game time running and the 6 months hadn’t kicked in yet, he’d still be able to log in, just the mount wouldn’t be useable.
Because 6 months of game time can be obtained with in game gold, a 6 month sub can’t. They want people to spend actual money to obtain a free mount as opposed to using gold. That really won’t matter that much though, as if it isn’t yet, it will be obtainable by buying 2 tokens.
Will either be:
A) Issue with the mount and it will be resolved by relogging or it will fix itself shortly.
B) OP changed back the 6 month payment for game time, then is acting like:
The thing is though is that they actually earn more by it being bought with tokens than with IRL money. tokens are $20 each but only convert to $15.
According to a Blue Poster, Kalviery, early last year that wouldn’t work.
If you already have game time ongoing, the promotion doesn’t kick in until the 6 months kicks in it seems. The OP had 8 days remaining on their original subscription, purchased the 6 month subscription, and then canceled to prevent auto-renewal. (Edit: The OP of the linked thread.)
Essentially you need to be in an active 6 month subscription to qualify; canceling before the 6 month actually activates wouldn’t qualify. So OP wouldn’t have the mount yet, and thus couldn’t have lost it.
I already had an active 6-month sub, so I got squeakers one morning when I logged in.
After using it for 4 days or so, I log in today and it was “You have not collected this mount.”
I relogged and it’s there now, so… cool bug I guess blizz.
Well then no need to worry, glad its back, enjoy it.
I wouldnt’ doubt it, they have so many bugs this patch. It’s like they didn’t even have anyone looking over it.
