I’ve got scammed for 3.5 m gold and created a ticket for it.
Next day I got a response saying following:
" I was able to locate the player and have taken the appropriate action for this report. Due to privacy reasons, we’re not able to say what actions were taken. But rest assured they were appropriate for this situation. "
But the same character is still spamming on the trade chenal every ten seconds as well as at least two others.
The same character is still sitting in Orgrimmar on the same spot I seen it last time!
So, it obvious that nothing was done to address my issue!
I don’t care about the gold I lost, but I want these people gone so they don’t hurt the others!

Keep reporting depending on how serious the offense it could be anywhere from just losing the gold or suspenion.

If the agreement and discussion took place outside of the game, there’s nothing a GM can do. GMs will not accept screenshots as evidence as they can only go by the in-game logs available to them. Anything happening outside of the game is out of Blizzard’s control.
If they are continuing to spam, definitely utilise the right-click report feature. Things won’t happen immediately, but the report will be reviewed.

This is the first time I got scammed in 18 years of playing wow, so I don’t really know how it works, but it’s so obvious that they did not do anything to address this issue but want to close the ticket, it is sickening to me the way Blizzard handles these issues.
They, as in the group doing this, tend to make toons with names close to one another to make it look like nothing was done. They mainly do this to try to get folks not to report them.

the agreement and discussion took place completely inside the game

Blizzard seems to know exactly what toons they are creating but don’t lift a finger to address it, below is the part of response:
“These will usually be level 10 pandaren or Allied race Death Knights. If you see that happening, please right click and report the name and do not interact with them.”

The staff at Blizzard are humans at the end of the day, and they can only do so much. Your best option is to just keep reporting. GM’s can’t monitor every chat all at once.

You can rest assured that they definitely had the gold removed from their toon, what other actions were taken could have been done I don’t know . But do know that, that black mark of ripping players off will definitely be kept on his license on any of his other toons he has and if he does it again the punishments will be much harsher that what has appeared to happen to them now.

I hope so and I’m pretty sure that this is not their first offence, the way they scam is really sophisticated, I can bet I was not their first victim.

Two things come to mind, mainly-- firstly, your idea of “appropriate action” and Blizzard’s are not the same, the action they took for what might have been a first offense could equate to a mere slap on the wrist.
Secondly, do you know for sure that it’s the exact same character? Same class-race combination, same level, any accented characters the exact same (ex. à and á, è and é, î and ï)?
If it hasn’t moved locations, it might indicate an arm of a multi-billion dollar enterprise (yes, with a b) that are basically professionals at this point. They have a habit of moving names around whether by character deletion or stolen credit/debit cards to utilize paid character services such as name changes to throw genuine players off their scent, particularly ones they’ve “done business” with.

I hope so, but I don’t think anything short of suspending the account would be appropriate. You can see that the sole purpose of them is to sit there and scam people, they are not here to play the game!

You don’t know this though. What action Blizzard takes is between them and the player they’re investigating.
More speculation.
Pretty sure at the very least, the gold was removed. They could also still be investigating this player deeper to see if others are involved, and if gold is being funneled out (if so, who to and what for etc).

Absolutely! The same character spamming the same message every ten seconds on the same spot!

If they’re part of a larger syndicate, then it does stand to reason that it’s very likely Blizzard is conducting a deep investigation to find the gold movement channels and such as it could well be part of the gold selling black market. They’ll all get perm bans in mass if that’s the case.

Would you call this “appropriate action” when you can still see the guy who scammed you on the same spot doing the same thing?
Also, about if this is their first offence: you can say I’m just speculating but I’ve leaved enough to see this… They are very sophisticated; their discord account looks really legit.

No doubt, they’re backed by ruthless and well funded criminal elements.

I hope you right.
I’ve removed the name as you suggested.

I’m not angry about losing lousy 3.5 mils, I’m angry at these people who like parasites feeding off of the community of players.
If I did that what they do, I would be ashamed to look at the mirror.
