Got kicked off server spontaniously

Was playing the game, and as one does, I jumped in a river. As I did so, both my traveling companion and I were disconnected. All I need to know is this, was this a server issue, or did I anger the river gods? and if so, how do I atone for my transgressions.

You just sacrifice a Gnome.

I saw a number of tweets that indicated a bunch of folks did drop, so it is possible that you were impacted by the same thing. It doesn’t appear that the realms are offline, so it may have just been a bit of a hiccup. I’ll keep an eye out for any issues.

Any chance servers will open up any time soon? its like 6 hours before I can get back to leveling as is haha

I know our Devs are monitoring realm population and queue times and are working on it, but I don’t have any other details, sorry.

Had much the same experience, sitting and eating in Mulgore, no lag or anything just instant d/c. Back to a 7k server queue. No chance for any downtime.

Almost feels like its just removing people who have been playing for a few hours.

Played 8 hours straight so it was likely something else. If you’re playing on one of the streamer servers those are no doubt being slammed constantly.

Nope Oceania, where we have 3 servers, and now its coming into our peak time 16.45 here, see how our 3 servers go.

Are we able to get a server transfer to the new OCE PvP realm? it went up after we started playing and me and all my friends were all just dropped from the server and are waiting in massive ques. Feels a bit uhh to cop a server issue DC and then be forced into a 10k que after we woke up early to get in que this morning.

It’s just an overload thing. Blizzard isn’t petty enough to randomly remove people from the game. They never did it in the past and I doubt they care enough to do it now.

Shoot they put in phasing just to get more people in. If they wake up in the morning and it’s still an issue I’d expect a few more servers. But they have to be careful not to overreact.

Once the hype dies down and the tourists all bail you’ll end up with a ton of servers needing mergers if they overdo it.

Either way, this is the authentic vanilla experience people were dying for with the #nochanges movement. The first day was chaos 15 years ago and it’s roughly as chaotic now.

So I’d say the authenticity of it all has been pretty spot on.

same. hopefully we will atleast get some game time comped. waited over 9 hours to login, 20 minutes play time, disconnected to an 8000 spot in line.

It looks like either a few layers crashed or a continent did. Friend was 7000 in que and got in instantly when the disconnects happened. People reconnecting have queues up to 9000. So it seems like 9000ish people got booted from the game.

Is the issue going to be resolved or is there a chance of it happening again? Rather not waste a 3-4 hour queue to get back in for another kick.

Yeah free game time wont happen unless its for days on end.

Good ole hiccups after 7 1/2 hour que time… At least I got to play for 36 minutes.

This happened to me, its very frustrating after waiting nearly nine hours to play for 20 minutes and get kicked, and now I’m in a 9000+ person queue. I tried to log back in while still in the client but the game told me it couldn’t with my account info which was 100% correct, i wish i was able to just be put back into game

Never fear! the servers are still dying and people are getting kicked by the hundreds. I jumped from 7.5k to 3.5k in 2 minutes haha

@Vrakthris any updates please?

This is absolute bull! I got down to 4000 in queue and then was suddenly kicked from the game and now I’m back up to 10000. How is that even fair?!

I doubt you will ever see free game time for Classic realms being down.
Your monthly fee is for Retail wow. Classic is just an additional benny just like access to all forums is a benny for a retail sub.
