Got a Logitech g600 today

was having consistent problems with razer so i decided to try this mouse out. got it for like $30 so not too bad at all for an mmo mouse

seems pretty nice atm. was just curious if anyone else here uses it, what do you bind the ring finger top button too? thats the only button that really feels awkward to me. too afraid to bind it to something because i keep accidentally pressing it due to subconscious habits of using my ring finger to help move the mouse to the left. let me know if u guys have any suggestions :slight_smile:

I have the same mouse, I unbound the top buttons because I kept pressing em. There’s so many buttons and I like the pinky button for targeting nearest player, its great

Disable it imo. Or mount since that’s harmless

I got a Logitech G502 Hero recently, took about a week to get use to the Snipe button but actually much nicer than my Corsair/Razers.

The ring finger click is OP! I use it for my premonition. Its definitely worth getting used to

I’m a big advocate for the g600. I went through like 4 nagas from 2010-2012 and used the same g600 from 12-18. Just got a new one bc my wife’s cat ate through the wire of my old one. Imo the button contours are much better than the naga and overall build quality is better too. I’ve never bound the third click button though.

was also about to buy this mouse because my cursor would stop moving when i picked up my mouse even a little bit, fortunately a pc restart fixed the issue but definitely going to pick up a logitech next time i have significant issues

I use a G600 and have exclusively since my mmo inception. I’ve only ever had to buy the one and it’s worked wonderfully.

By the ring finger button, do you mean the one that switches all the side button to it’s 2nd setting? I.e if the 12 side buttons are presets 1-12, then holding that button down turns them into 13-24. I use that button to turn my top left side button into my trinket as that basically guarantees I’ll never fat finger it.

i use a g600 after going through like 5 nagas in a couple years and i actually didnt even know there was a ring finger button until after like a year of using it and ive never actually found a good use for it either tbh, though i really should because its a fairly convenient button

Great choice man. I swapped to the g600 from a Naga last year and it’s much better imo. And personally I have the right ring finger button unbound. Honestly for most it’s probably best to keep it that way unless like others suggested you bind something harmless like a mount to it.

I must’ve gone through about eight g600’s since they were first released. It’s worth noting that Logitech’s RMA policy is very easy going and if any little thing goes wrong, you should be able to get it replaced NP, so save your receipt. Needless to say they are also not that durable, but I personally find the ring finger button indispensable.

I use the thumb buttons for targeting and pet management. They’ll wear out if you use them for any ability that you spam a bunch.

I use the ring finger button as a focus modifier (Ctrl). For any ability if I hold the ring finger button, then that ability targets my focus.
