Yeah man 100%, I run a Moonkin in my guilds other raid and i can’t help but compare the parses to my mage which is doing a lot better. On the other hand I’ve also seen drastic improvment on my druids parses which is making me happy so I’m more competing against myself more so than others.
Ay bro I’m glad you’re seeing improvement. As much as I love pvp, I have to say that TBC is still raid focused, and progressing on that is always a win.

I find it humorous that you can see the truth behind the veil of parses and I totally 100% agree with you. Doesn’t change the reality of player perception and to make things worse it exposes how smooth brain many of them can be. I don’t need to cope I lived it during classic, no matter how much more dps, utility and try hard I was people would mock my choice and give loot/raid spot prio to inferior players based on a meta they couldn’t even achieve. Yes friend, I am coping.
Sounds like you chose to be around the wrong people then. Meta slaves are not a good thing. Sure, they’ll always exist, like how parasites will always exists, but you don’t have to go swim across the river full of leeches when you could have walked across the bridge.

Edit: I realize my last line comes off a bit hostile. It’s not my intention, but, you good bro? This is a game and unless you’re in a position to be making money off of it by pushing the limits of the game, you should focus on having fun. The meta slaves are loud, not the majority. Just play what you want and be a chill guy who does their job. You’ll get invites no matter how “not meta” your class is. If you’re not having fun, I hope you do soon. This isn’t a game to stress about.
