Being ‘better’ at this game is of very little consequence to tons of players
They only care whether they are being entertained
They don’t have your goals and they don’t need your goals to have fun
When it comes to grinds they have no interest in ‘try hard blow all my free time on long shots that slow down my grind’
If you want the game to change, change the reward system so players get almost as much for losses if you want them to hang
Nobody’s free time exists for your convenience or desires, and it definitely isn’t available for you to waste. It is only for their own entertainment. They literally owe nothing to you.

I can already see what will happen if you get almost as much for a loss as a win people would probably be throwing themselves at the enemy team or sitting in the cave and the afkers would be even worse then they are now.
Cause why would you go through the horrible horrible amount of effort required to try and actually win when you could just literally afk and get almost the same thing

Nah tons of games have similar rewards for losses, they do fine
A few matches maybe, but vast majority just fine and peeps will stay way more often
Peeps that wanna throw already do it now
Peeps that wanna bot or afk already get kicked or banned now
Would work fine
Or deal with leavers who aren’t gonna waste their free time cuz of the grind design
not everything needs to be a reward just for playing

Oh my goodness, I am not sure where that “I owe you nothing” bit is coming from, but if you think about it, nobody owes you anything either. Nobody owes you the ear, or leverage to stop them from playing with a group of friends because it gets in the way of your fun. Nobody owes you the time or patience to listen to your constant complaints either.
