Ooof, asking the hard questions right ^ here…
Because my friends listen while pugs go “yur not meh dad!”
don’t forget “my arena rating is higher than yours, therefore we go docks”
see i understand what u think the problem is. but there is no problem and u are just crying to cry. nothing will change from these threads. u think bumping it matters? lmao. heck enough reports on the thread can fix that if u want haha. but anyways things will stay the same because blizz doesnt care.
u do realize not every community uses discord right? its optional in sas. i think maybe a handful or 2 at a time might use it when groups are made.
Everyone likes to pick at the little things instead of tackling the issue that stacking several 5-man groups to manipulate the queues is wrong. Quit arguing semantics.
no it isn’t.
Many of us do. Just like movies, sometimes you just want to check out your brain at the door and be entertained.
Again, read upwards a bit. Your assumptions that everyone in a community has the best gear, and claims to be the best at EBG’s is absurd.
Fact: There are players posting here from both sides of the argument who have gone out of their way to say how good they are and to point out how much better they are than everyone else. That is what did, and always WILL get my attention.
Read:
These are the people, making comments like this, that you should be criticizing. If they are so much “gooder than y’all” why would they be playing a game and complaining about it?
There is voice built in to the game. It is not used because nobody wants to hear mouth breathing and eruptive profanity when playing. I never use voice.
I just had a thought. what if all this complaining about premades queuing into ebgs made blizzard just put an option for 30 people to queue at once? would be hilarious to see the crying at that. i dont mean an option where its just premade vs premade. but an option to where a bunch 5 mans dont have to rng into the same ebg. haha
In order to achieve it, you need to create several groups of 5, and then time your queues. Let’s not forget that the 5 man premade was created after blizz shut down epic premades the first time.
Honestly, twinks using the xp debuff to queue into a normal bracket has similar energy. You aren’t supposed to be doing something, but you’re doing it anyway using a different set of mechanics.
That might make us happy, so of course, they won’t do that.
I do totally agree with this statement. Beating a premade, especially in a pug, is to me the highest high in epic BGs. Last night on my horde in what seemed like a pug we beat an alliance premade in IOC. It was also a come-from-behind and I had do repeated kamikazi strikes on glaives to buy us time. It was incredible fun.
But even so, I wish premades in randoms were not even possible. Overall I think they’re detrimental to the game format. They benefit the few, those willing to bend the rules a little to prey on the uninitiated. The occasional supreme fun they bring, in my opinion, doesn’t justify the damage it does. Players dread doing epic BGs because of premades and that’s not good for the game mode.
Honestly… Premades are mostly just a leader who guides people willing to be led. Most players in premade are very casual players. But they care about the result enough to work as a team, and it’s what the game should promote.
The developers should add the option to queue as a “Commander” and give those players the proper tools to guide the troops around. Blizzard should also be much more aggressive in its approach against griefers. I believe this would considerably increase the average quality of random teams.
If they brought substantial changes like that to the game, there would be no need for premade, as someone would lead every epic bg, and it would become increasingly difficult to notice if you’re up against a premade.
I mean, I’ve been in groups with people like Alecthegreat and Lionheart when there were only 5 of us, and we still won most of those games.
To be fair, I’ve at least seen Alecthegreat actually “walk a mile in the shoes” of a solo/pug player. He even queued solo live on his stream a couple times to see the experience from the eyes of a solo-queuer. Spoiler: he struggled and lost without his premade backing him up… but that’s OK, at least he acknowledged that the experience is different/not the same with pug teammates
Even as far back as 2020 (when he played Horde), he would queue into solo-queue epic BGs on his Pally when his premade people were offline/afk
On the other hand, I don’t think I’ve ever seen the RUIN “big boss man” queue as a solo pug into an epic BG. Same thing for Inemia now that I think about it 100% of the time if you see Inemia on the scoreboard/names list it’s guaranteed he’s with at least a partial premade
The problem is that people will often choose not to listen out of spite. But, if the game puts someone who wants to lead in a leadership position, I’m sure most would be willing to listen, especially if you punish griefing more harshly.
It’s not a perfect idea, that’s for sure. But without any leadership in an epic battleground, it can be just about the most miserable experience on WoW. That’s probably why I’ll always be pro-premade in epic battlegrounds until they make it easier to guide players to where they need to be.
It’s not even all about winning. People premade because it’s a better, more chill experience than opening your map and seeing a bunch of people all over the place roaming aimlessly.
Inemia doesn’t lead, bud.
Yeah but, his presence almost always indicates at least a partial premade being in there
confirmation bias
So I’m curious who your main is? U seem to know a lot of the names within the pvp stuff. Would u say I queue more so with premade or not? I’m curious how u get your info on this.
