Gold Tipping PSA - Enchanting

Yesterday there was a dude faking being in the military.

Stolen Valor, that is a very serious crime. I hope they got flagged. They should be arrested.

I am not the OP. Youā€™re probably doing something wrong lol.

I even made a guide: PSA: How to ignore forum users

Youā€™re kind of admitting it here.

Youā€™ve spent time and money leveling up a skill, but if you give it away free it to be nice then you donā€™t value what you put into it or you value the interaction more.

WoW already has a ton of players that think the community is out there just to help them like weā€™re all mindless npcs in their story.

I think we should be charging everyone unless they are sleeping in your bed lol

I have to say, that Goblinā€™s post made this thread of mine even more entertaining XD

I donā€™t give it away to be nice, I give it away because thereā€™s no value that I need to gain during my down time. The gain comes from the auction house anything else is just additional if at all.

but at the same time, no response whatsoever from this character until that specific post. Not saying heā€™s right, but the timing is curious

officially the same dude swapping chars and commenting on his own thread to bump it. with that established, iā€™ll see myself out

I said everything I needed to say near the beginning of the thread. Test what he said if itā€™s true and let me know. Iā€™ve never put anyone on ignore so I donā€™t even know how it works lol. The fact that I was accused of such a thing is a first that I find highly enjoyable, haha.

Put that stuff on vellums and get the price you want everytime.

If you want to print free money by being an enchanter, your only real hope is to be one of the first on the server to get ulduar tank enchants, and hope you are the only one on the server for a time.

First 3 responses are so CRINGEEEEEEEEEE. Level your own enchanters then. Cheapskates on a game are more cringe than irl tipping cause we arenā€™t taking food out of your familyā€™s mouth. Itā€™s a game. Yā€™all holding on to your pennies is hilarious. Itā€™s pixels.

Same type of dudes that donā€™t pre pot and gem their gear and whine about gatekeepers Iā€™ll bet.

how is it cringe for people to hold on to their pennies but not the same level as you demanding more for you to have your own pennies? lol

Agreed! they stopped teaching economics in school or something. supply and demand dictates your market value.

I tip more if someone comes to me. Less if I have to make my way to them.

I think some people are just used to tipping lower from TBC and donā€™t really think about it. I personally HAVE thought about it and 20g is about my average for enchanters.

I do agree with this though. Think of expansion progress as inflation. Everything costs more, everyone gets paid more. I used to tip the pizza guy $2-4 in like, the 90s. Thatā€™s obviously not an acceptable tip in 2022. Same basic concept.

Well, did you test it? Does putting @Charax on ignore also put me on ignore because now Iā€™m genuinely curious LOL

Canā€™t afford to tip? donā€™t go out to eat!

As a tipped employee, this mentality of not taking care of someone that is providing you a service and most of the time coming to you is cringe af. Level your own professions if you think tipping is wrong or you wanna be cheap.

Difference is when I go out to eat Iā€™m choosing to go to a specific restaurant in which a tip is practically required, when I can just go to a fast food joint instead. In this I doubt someone is messaging you directly to get an enchant and are instead asking for an enchanter and you are offering your service.

The day I give someone 20 fricking g for an enchant is the day I forsake who I am as a person, this thread incentives me to tip less if anything; my toon has very little gold and no good gold farming except quests
