Gold Tipping PSA - Enchanting

I’d be far more likely to talk to the person advertising their service for a cost of 20g than asking for a mandatory tip of 20g.

Maybe you should do dailies if you can’t afford to tip.

If you don’t tip your enchanter, why should the enchanter enchant your gear?

You may view me as a toxic enchanter but you wouldn’t know it in-game until you try to not compensate me.

i have to wonder if EU players ever tip… very odd if they do.

Maybe some enchanters would accept that pittance. I wouldn’t.

Still, none of this matters at all very soon as gold becomes a useless commodity. Tipping 100g will be as pointless as tipping 1 copper. There will be no way to properly compensate someone for their time spent doing something with gold so the only reason to do anything is because you want to.

Most people aren’t even saying they won’t tip.

You’re just parading around the notion that people should tip as a requirement, but if it’s a requirement, it’s now a fee, not a tip.

Then trade the mats back. I’ll run the same ad I did the first time and some mage bot with a wa will auto invite me. Who cares.

Pretty sure the toxicity radiates off you like an aura at this point, but whatever you wanna tell yourself.

I’ll just find a far more friendly enchanter.

I can afford to tip people 100g per enchant, doesn’t mean I’m going to, nor that they deserve it.

Other enchanter it is then  could’ve been yours for 2 simple clicks

Someone asked for mongoose a couple days ago. They tipped me 50g. I thought wow. I had the mats and checked AH prices and made a mongoose scroll and make 150g profit from the scroll

Usually I say don’t tip me that much, 10g is fine. If it’s a trainer recipe, I click the Accept/OK button on trade as soon as I enchant so they take the hint no tip required. If I don’t get a tip, doesn’t bother me… it’s helped someone else - can be annoying on offpeak hours of not finding a chanter.

Yawn, I guess the terminology seems to be a “big deal”.

The time-value that you spend looking for another enchanter will very likely > 5g.

Cheap players think they’re saving gold looking around for an enchanter that is ok getting stiffed.

Yes. Your wall of cope filled text does not change what words mean. If you say “X” but really mean “Y” then you should say “Y” instead. You can’t get mad when other people base their interaction off of “X” when you said “X” but really meant “Y”.

If its required, its a fee. If you expect a fee, then say so.

Sorry, offering a service for a tip just doesn’t mean it is acceptable for other players to take advantage by not giving a copper. Cry all you want that I should state a fee. I won’t.

If the parasite who thought he could get an enchant from me without giving a tip complains I should have advertised my services as a “fee”, I probably would just laugh at him and insult him for being poor and cheap.

Either i find one on the spot, or i wait for a guildy to log on and do it for free. No 5g for you

Your charging a fee, not asking for a tip.

Tips are not mandatory.

Fees are mandatory.

Just because you seem to not understand the English language, doesn’t mean other people don’t.

its not a tip its a fee. list the fee and everyone knows whats going on and the expected price. They dont list a fee because then people would only pay that amount, which prevents them from getting the big 100g tips they some times get. If they want 20 gold for the enchant, then charge 20 gold. But expecting people to just automatically give them the amount they want is not tipping, its a fee.

Except it is. You’re offering a service for free and accept tips. That means the price tag is literally 0. You advertise it yourself then get mad when others follow through with exactly what you said.

Lmao the cope. “Cry”. I’m not the one complaining about “the broke bois not paying me after I said it was free.”

hahahahahhahahahahahahahahhaa

Sorry let me catch my breath.

hahahahahahahahahahahhaahhaaha

You have literally no argument. You advertise it as a tip, then get mad when people aren’t required to pay when YOU set the parameters of the interaction hahahahahahahahaha

God classic players can’t get more dumb but I can always expect Charax to push the boundary.

Since no new points are being made, let me summarize what the cheap players’ viewpoints are:

If an enchanter advertises their services for mats + tips:

  • Cheap players can freely take advantage of this and stiff the enchanter
  • An enchanter should happily get stiffed by cheap players because he/she didn’t state a minimum fee

Always good to read the opinions of the community hobos.

No new points because you haven’t stated anything to actually counter “Tip vs Fee” other than a wall of cope text which can be summarized as "You say “X” but expect “Y”.

You existing is collectively lowering the IQ of anyone who is cursed to read anything you’ve said in this thread.

If you expect payment, just say you expect payment. It’s literally just that easy.

Charging a fee is fine, it’s just not a tip.
