Why do we have so many boosts?
Its simple. People need more gold to pay for gear in GDKPs, so we have more and more mages/paladins doing boosts for gold.
Gdkps are ruining the game and thats it.
99% of LFG is all about that. “Blablabla gdkp need buyer gear check at adal”
We have so many problems with RMT because of this, gold was never so important as now.
But whatever, got tired from all of this. I wont spend my money and hope you guys have all the fun seeing your game lose more and more new players. glhf

why would a player join a guild to socialize? or interact with anyone when he/she can just get all the gear from gdkp’s without even communicating with any player xD
i’m not accusing gdkp’s for anti socializing in this game, but TBH it’s nearly impossible for any new guild to form at this point because of gdkp’s & it’s nearly impossible for any new player to join this game because the inflation and insane real money trade caused by gdkp’s.
Gdkp’s aren’t 100% at fault but it’s huge part in ruining this game

I don’t disagree that there’s a lot of people out there with dirty gold and they almost assuredly are spending it off in GDKPs, but honestly I do not see gold as terribly important. I make plenty of gold from raiding, and doing some dailies or random farming. It’s more than enough for me to increase my gold and still be able to afford consumables and such.
I will be going into WoTLK with 10k gold if I’m lucky, and I feel like that’s plenty. Unless you want to buy BoEs at a premium, are buying gold sink specific items (such as traveler’s tundra mount), powerleveling professions, or do really sweaty consumable stacking I really have no idea what people are dumping all their gold into.

So… you’re upset because you hit 70 nearly a year after TBC Classic launched, and you can’t find groups to raid with, and you’re blaming GDKPs for this?

For enough gold even I would carry you
1year into classic i could still find pugs for (SR/+1/MS>OS) but since RMT has become more Real in tbcc, most if not all pugs which was using (SR/+1/MS>OS) raids turned into gdkp’s.
so ofc it’s a fact that it’s super rare now for anyone to find pugs except gdkp’s, isn’t that what made gdkp’s kill other pugs? & that has nothing to do with the period of the expansion because at wotlkc u will no longer find any pugs except gdkps even in 1st Month, and the reason is all about RMT is shining as Never.

no need thank you, i’m fine on my own
and i only play for fun xD
but anyway i have no problem with gdkps, neither i care for their existence but i don’t use them, as i said twice before, i don’t wanna be part in something that’s related to gold selling/buying.
You better stay away from the auction house then
Allow me to explain…
If a player begins their level 70 journey a year into the expansion (not to mention following announcements for the NEXT expansion) and they can’t find groups to raid with, so inevitably, they blame the GDKP raids - I do agree that many raids today are of that nature. However, the reality is that the OP said they found a guild but was unable to raid with them. To my knowledge, you are free to leave a guild whenever you’d like and join a new one.
The next thing is that the OP doesn’t provide any ‘proof’ of even trying to obtain any gear through Rep/PvP/Dungeons/Heroics, so they’re not getting into any other types of raids (other than GDKP) anytime soon, unless, like I said, they find a new guild to raid with.

lol…gold sellers no longer tell buyers to put item in ah for XXX so they buy it, they just send via ingame mail and say “thx for the gdkp raid last week, here is your share”
Bots farm raid consumables like herbs and then sell them on the auction house.
They get their gold off the auction house and then sell the gold to players.
You better stay away from the auction housel

I agree with you tbh, and yup if he’s class is not trash He can join a guild and raid late tier raids even if he’s new into 1year of expansion, so gdkp’s aren’t to blame, the balance & inflation and many factors are.
but ofc the OP can still farm gear from badges/pvp, it might be tough now since almost no one run heroics but if he/she have the time he/she will get the gear easily, & maybe he/she can be lucky to find groups to spam things together or raid previous tier.
This is actually a really bad take.
Mail and trades can all be flagged, you think blizzard can’t track where the gold came from or if you were actually in a gdkp last week??
that was a sarcasm text.
but anyway blizzard aren’t doing anything…
go buy or sell gold & nothing will happen to you.
I wouldn’t necessarily say that this is true. While it is easier to bring a DPS or Healer than it would be to bring a Tank into raids they’re not geared for, many guilds won’t bring you through later raids (such as Black Temple) if they don’t see some form of effort on your part (Gearing through other means, for example)

Like I said stay away from the auction house
Agreed. Imagine swiping to have a sub to a game that you swipe to gear and swipe not to play. Such fun it must be for them.

Gold was always important. Having a big chunk farmed at the start of an expansion to not have to do it once more as a raider is literally what many do and did. Its not just for gdkp / gear. Right now people do it for wrath too.
How does it effect your experience tho? Honest question.
Im in a guild and i have a blast raiding, idc what others buy, it doesnt do anything to me.
Its just an odd thing to waste all this energy crying about it…
People have been buying carries since MMOs came out, it wont ever stop.
The game should be fun because of the experiences you have not because someone you dont know bought gold to buy a Black Temple carry.
Just such an odd thing to waste time on.
