Benediction 30000 ally, 0 horde.
Faerlina 25000 horde, 0 ally.
Both pvp server.
Multiple other server in that same 99% situation.
Are they really gonna do nothing about this? Layer them together or something?

Players ran to or from those servers, they wanted it that way.
pretty much
I get that, but its still wrong. Merge all the server with the same rulesets, or remove all server but one. I just think the current situation is unacceptable. Lf some kind of solution.
Why? Players literally paid to put themselves into those positions.
No one “wanted” this. When my server kirtonos died and had less than 1000 active players with 0 alliance we decided to go to faerlina because at the time it still had a relatively balanced faction ratio and was large enough that we wouldnt need to do this again. Then all the allies left faerlina and were stuck here, the only option left is grob and its west coast and already leaning horde favored so will go the same way eventually.
The Alliance that ran from you, wanted this.
Remove the option to run by effectively merging everything together?
A little late now, dont you think? Considering the 10’s of thousands of dollars Blizzard fleeced people out of ?
No thank you, too many people already.
Not true. Farlina has been over populated with horde even when asmongold was playing.
Ppl want the high population. Everything is better. You can actually find recipes in those servers. I was alliance in kirtonas. The smaller servers have everything on the auction house way over priced. U cant even find what you want half the time. Ohnlool. Red gems selling for 260 g. Log into benediction and they are flooded with same gems selling for 55g.
The high pop is good, they just need to cross realm the open world.
My original server has 12 players on it. When I left we were 80 Alliance to over 1000 Horde, Raid Night was dying 3-4 Times trying to get into SSC, and no counterplay, because it was 800 on 30.
I moved before it was ultra mega.
Think they’ve figured out, people don’t want PVP, they just want to have the bonus of being on PVP servers, without PVP.
At this point, Servers are just an antiquated feature. There’s no server communities, and large servers are a requirement without LFD to cover grouping.
nop faerlina was alliance sided until tbc came out. Phase 1 it was 50/50, at the end of phase 1 it went 60/40
They needed to cap the server pops on a faction basis. They could have 6-10 medium-large size servers going for each faction instead of a few. It would also mean that if both factions filled up the server they would be 50/50 or close to it.
Wouldn’t work now, MAYBE at launch, but it’s still not a great idea.
relevant to this thread:
Without transfers people would have just moved the old fashioned way, reroll, doesn’t change anything.
I disagree. With a transfer the character and all their assets are permanently removed from one realm and given to another. A reroll simply has them logout with the ability for them to re-login at their discretion. Having to start from scratch is also a huge deterrent to abandoning the people you’ve been playing with and who are also very likely the ones who’ve invested their time to getting your character established in the first place. With the character transferred, those players are now at a loss. Whether or not that loss matters to you is irrelevant: my point is they are not the same.
People fled from realms because p2 classic pvp was awful, they ran away, they would have run away regardless because they couldn’t play.
Yes, people can choose to stop playing on a server whenever they like. Still, transfers are best reserved solely as a last-resort intervention due to how destructive they are on realm communities. The current status quo is a reflection of that.
