Mark your calendar for March 19 when the 10.2.6 content update goes live with a bold, new, limited-time event. You won’t want to miss out on the fun. It’s important to note that Dragonflight season 4 will go live several weeks after the release of the 10.2.6 content update. For heroes working toward the Amirdrassil Feats of Strength, you’ll need to obtain Ahead of the Curve: Fyrakk the Blazing before Season 4 begins, and the achievement is no longer available to earn.
Amirdrassil is shaping up to be one of the least cleared Mythic raids since Tomb of Sargeras/ Kil’jaeden.
At least it’s beating Crucible of Storms!

I expect big nerfs Tuesday

I wouldn’t be surprised if they drop a few more heavy nerfs on Fryakk and Tindral to boost the rest past like they did in SotFO.

This is insanity. We’re at 644 Mythic Fyrakk guilds worldwide. Not even U.S. 300 has been achieved yet and we’re looking at mid to late april likely for S4, and the closing of CE. As a comparison, the Jailer was nerfed for the final time a month and a few days before S4 shadowlands launched. You’re going to be looking at the collapse of a significant amount of guilds soon if there aren’t some big changes to fyrakk asap.

A lot of guilds are about to have even worse roster issues however. There’s a lot of bench players that just came to the realization their guilds aren’t going to have time to reclear, and thus they will not get their CE. So they’re going to bounce to a prog spot somewhere else, leaving guilds with little to no spare roster numbers.

Possibly. Guilds that get to CE sometimes probably wont get it and move on.
Guilds that expect to get CE every tier and dont, yeah, theyre going to fold.

Change Nothing™. Let nature take its course.
I have a rule with my sons that when they mess something up, if they clean it up before I notice, they don’t get into trouble, but I have to tell them what to do or I have to help them, then they do.
Blizzard could stand to learn this lesson.
Barely. And that was a mid tier release, it landed when people were breaking already. This is the actual raid for this tier.
These bosses should never have passed QA. At least one person on the team should have been like “didn’t we explicitly promise not to do this?”
So let it all burn.

I don’t know if we will make it to 1k guilds downing M Fyrakk unless he and Tindral get more nerfs.
I still feel M Tindral is a big barrier… and could use some kind of adjustment, maybe the beams don’t 1 shot, but instead can tick once or even twice before killing someone.
Yeah I mean, a lot of us are surprised, but blizzard doesn’t care that a lot of guilds that have had success for sometime with CE are about to breakup and some of these players stop playing, when they don’t get fyrakk down. It’s def looking like under 1k guilds with this deadline. They’ve known this would be the reality for some time, seeing as they probably had S4 date planned for many many months now. And they were aware of the state of the last two bosses. The average CE guild, developers clearly aren’t with you. If this tier has taught me anything, it’s either play in a 3 day successful guild, or stay out of mythic. This situation is essentially a death sentence to ….i dunno…like 90% of 2 day CE guilds? I would have hoped the developers would have seen 2 day as a very healthy migration for some players who are a little older and a little less interested in playing wow as much as they used to. Apparently not
always gota keep in mind if you even venture into even mid tier mythic bosses, you’re in a 1% of players, which is hard for me to understand as this is the only way I even enjoy the game. But financially we’re like ….not even noticeable to them

I really thought Blizzard was trying to get away from making mythic raid CE to just a small group of people. Having 3-4 one shot mechanics is not fun.
I didn’t mind Smolderon’s difficulty, but it’s been soul crushing progging M Tindral. We are 330ish wipes in, and raid moral is low. People have stopped showing up to raid and if something doesn’t happen soon, we will probably stop raiding.
As for a 3 day guild, hubby’s been telling me all season there aren’t enough hours in a 2 day raiding schedule with the difficulty of the raid.
I don’t want to raid 3 days a week because I fear I’ll burn out sooner rather than later.
I hope something happens soon, because completion numbers look pretty bad for CE right now.

low sub count
even lower sub count of actual gamers
If you’re not on Fyrakk right now you’re pretty much screwed because we only have 3-4 weeks left on the season. Tindral is also harder than Fyrakk. Both fights are just completely overloaded with mechanics that one shot the raid.
This raid tier is basically like you’re progging on two end bosses.

You’re unfortunately probably screwed out of fyrakk if you don’t have at least…I dunno 2-3 weeks already into the boss. Even then, you might not get it. Fyrakk is still like a 400 pull boss unfortunately. That was what was so gut wrenching about the announcement last thursday. Some of us had hoped for S4 May. But mid April, that news likely just caused a lot of ppl to quit or jump ship to a different guild, leaving friends behind.
You might say, well SURELY nerfs next week, right??
Those of us who progged Tindral for 1.5 months were hoping for that every week. And guess what, when the final nerf came, while it was significant, it certainly did not make it an easy fight at all.

If we don’t see any big nerfs to M Tindral and Fyrakk on Tuesday, I think that’s clear evidence that Blizz really doesn’t care about raiding anymore

“Doesn’t care about raiding” = very specific clear rates of 1 raid difficulty.
I do think we will see some big nerfs though to push guilds through that couldn’t kill these versions of the fights so they can still feel good about being a CE guild. Just like SotFO.
I get the sentiment that it feels lame to do a last minute gut to bosses. At the same time, I don’t feel ending a tier with a sub 1000 CE rate is healthy for this CE community, which has lost enough players as is. 1500 seems a lot healthier to me. There’s no way we even hit close to that tho, even with POSSIBLE significant nerfs inc.
Extremely dissapointing. The raids should be tuned for the avg 2D guild to clear the raid at least 4 or 5 times.
Its insane to spend months working toward something, and miss out entirely cuz you miss the single end boss kill. That’s the reality for 2 or 3 people in every guild.
The game would be so much more fun if we could just wrap the teir up when people are still engaged in the patch, do a few reclears, and have a break before the next push.
As it is I really am questioning if I want to do this again. For point of ref I have 10 CEs - all in 2D guilds - and about 100 pulls into Fryakk.
FWIW Fryakk feels like a decent fight on its own right now, but after smold/tindrel its a bit much. Id welcome some nerfs.

I think if that were true, they would have use the word “few” instead of “several”.
They usually announce upcoming raid nerfs in advance like on Thursday or Friday the previous week. I don’t think it bodes well for that.
If they’re counting on some DPS boost or something in 10.2.6 to make the raid easier I kinda doubt it’ll have much effect since Tindral & Fyrakk are mechanical and the things that wipe the raid don’t really care about your ilvl, health or dps.
Patch would be next Tuesday.
Then they’ll probably run a 2-3 week PTR. After that S4 starts.
