That manā€™s a degenerate

You take that back!

:rage:

So, is this good or bad? I donā€™t like what heā€™s done for pvp, but that leaves no one doesnā€™t it?

Iā€™ll take my chances with anyone elseā€¦

He already wasnā€™t a PvP dev, when he came back after leaving that position he was made combat systems dev or something. They just had him do PvP interviews because he was a familiar face, I think.

We also had the PvP dev responsible for most PvP talents and such quit going into SL. He said there really wasnā€™t anyone else working on PvP, though Blizzard did bring on a whole dev team from another studio to work on WoW after that so maybe they brought some PvP people with them. They also apparently hired a position that works on BG/arena maps but nothing for BGs so far.

So we can expect at least 1 new map next expansion thatā€™ll be worse than SS

Sad. Holinka had the direction of PvP going in a positive direction, regardless of I disagreed with the direction of reducing CC duration or not.

Gearing, balance, pace while not perfect are in the best state since pre legion.

Thank you Holinka for your contributions to the game I love.

He used to do PvP Q&As.

He was responsive to players on Twitter.

After he leaves, thereā€™s just a blank wall between us and any dev who might work on PvP.

@holinka-
can i have your stuff?

this mf is quitting again GL

Well at least itā€™s not like the next guy in charge could do any worse.

Thatā€™s like saying, ā€œHey, make an expansion thatā€™s better than Shadowlandsā€.

ā€˜Mage blink is the same as a healā€™

Iā€™ll never forget that one

A bunch of ccs are actually longer than they used to be

He was kinda right.

You can avoid a ton of damage with blink. Itā€™s functionally the same as healing all that damage you would have taken, plus you get to create distance from melee or LOS ranged DPS.

by that logic, every player who avoids damage is doing the equivalent of receiving a heal

aside from the obvious that a heal restores HP

its utter nonsense

Yes.

The avoided damage = equivalent heal. Youā€™re saving your healerā€™s mana.
