I am working on the main Loremaster achieve on my main. This has led me to multiple issues where I need to open a support ticket for multiple reasons.
I do my research on wow head and Internet searches for my issue before opening a ticket. When I open a ticket I started first that I have already searched wowhead, the Internet, and the forums before opening said ticket.
All I get back anymore from the GMs is a link to wowhead that I have already been to and told them that at the beginning of the ticket. I get a link and then their advice is to submit a bug report.
I remember when tickets actually got support and they helped you. They didn’t do that anymore. It’s just a link to wowhead and submit a bug report.
For example I am completely locked out of Undercity. I’ve done the zidormi thing. Tried everything and I am locked out of a capital city which to me is unacceptable. I was told to submit a bug report and basically suck it.
If this is all the GMs are going to do they can all be laid off too and replaced by AI. If that isn’t what has happened already. I mean they are not doing anything anymore. Why pay them? Am I the only one this is happening too?

Initial tickets responses are templates for triage reasons, so that they can respond to you, hopefully giving information that might help, while they try to fix major issues with people unable to play the game at all.
If you need more help, try the Customer Support Forum and reopen your ticket.

Lots of things is account wide now. I had issues and had to swap characters and it would work smooth on an alt. Can’t remember what zone it was, but I had to finish a zone’s “bonus” quests in Shadowlands on an alt when this toon somehow got “stuck” and couldn’t find any quest to continue.
More time consuming? Yes, but an option

They mentioned doing it on their “main” but with Warband, does it even matter anymore?
I used to always want all my achievements on this character, I no longer care

OP, have you completed the “Return to Lordaeron” questline as described in this Blizzard article re: Undercity access?.
Folks on reddit also suggest completing the BFA intro can help with this. Maybe try this first if you haven’t, as it’s shorter than Return to Lordaeron.

I went down the path to where they guards are supposed to be at the door that opens and lets you into the city. There are no guards and the door doesn’t open. I watched a recent specific video for this quest and followed the exact path to the door that the person in the video was doing. In the video they had the guards and the door open for them letting them into Undercity.
Have you tried abandoning and restarting your quest since you resolved the gas phase issue? It’s possible a trigger wasn’t activated while you were in the wrong Tirisfal phase.
Beyond that, have you tried getting a friendly warlock to summon you into Undercity proper as a workaround?
There’s also a sewer tunnel into the Undercity. Have you tried flying through there? Or does your quest require you to go through the front door?

Are they still called GMs? Anyway, the last one was indeed of zero help. It felt automated. Also the problem is still occurring and hasn’t been fixed.

Problem is, the re-instanced Undercity (via Zidormi) is essentially non-functional and lacks several quest completing NPCs, as well as a working flight path. Why players are not permitted access to the original Undercity, instead of this cheap imitation is beyond me.
Since the entire “Return to Lordaeron” questline sees our hero literally killing and banishing the plague, there is no reason whatsoever that the entire Undercity was not restored.

they told me i should go to wowhead xD support is probably dead since 5 years.

But have you tried WoWhead or submitting a bug report?

they never helped you with game issues like that - the only thing they might have done that they don’t do now is move your character.

They already have… The ticket system has been automated for years now

But Gms are never going to help you complete quests or even give hints .If you found a bug then you have to report it to the bug section not open a ticket.

Game Masters are only provided with certain tools on how they can help the players. They can’t help much with quest, especially towards giving hints, and they do not take in bug reports for any quest.

I agree that customer service responses have certainly become more generic and impersonal over the years. Thankfully, there are tons of resources available just by googling my question and not having to rely on what feel like can’t responses from basic triage. I wish I had hung onto some of the responses. I got over the years because there were a few game masters who were absolutely witty, empathetic, and clever with their corny dad jokes.

It’s doesn’t help when 1 of them intercepts every ticket and closes them , then threatens your licenses if you open another ticket !!!
