GM Responses & lack there of

Gotta love putting in an appeal for something I have no clue about or why and the response by the GM is cold/harsh. Is it policy for them to automatically condemn the player if they made an honest mistake and have no clue what it was about. How about explaining what exactly they did wrong instead of giving the link to the Blizzard End User License Agreement page. If someone putting in the ticket has the respect to be polite and have questions, shouldn’t the GM’s or whomever runs the Suspension team be polite and respectful as well?

It’s not a venue to ask or get answers to questions. They review the evidence and let you know if it was upheld or a mistake. You should have gotten an email with the category of the offense.

You should have received an email notifying you of the ban that includes the general category of the ban.

That is all you get in terms of why. They will not give you details as that either leads to players arguing every little detail, and/or gives those exploiting ideas on how to better not get caught.

An appeal is just that, an appeal. A fresh set of eyes will review the evidence and either uphold or reverse the punishment.

I’m afraid a Game Master is unable to discuss the details of an account penalty with you. The appeal process just has them review the action taken and verify specifics on if an error may have been made, or the account was compromised at the time, etc… If they cannot, they uphold the action taken and send out a template response.

You thread was closed because it was answered and quite frankly, you didn’t have a dog in the fight.

The disciplinary action was between blizzard and your friend. What occurs between them is none our our, or your, business.

GM’s can make mistakes yes, this is why there is an appeals process - but that process is not to plead the case, it’s a fresh set of eyes going over the logs (evidence).

there is a dog in this fight , i just have not brought it in yet!! if i have to , it will change the way many think

Nok is trying to say that your friend’s account action doesn’t involve you. Their account will be reviewed on their behalf – not yours.

doesnt really matter what any of us think. Any account action is purely between Blizz and your friend. Tell them to go back and look at the original email notification regarding the suspension. There will be a reason on there. If its a 30 day one, that either suggests this is a repeat offense and your friend is well aware of what it is. Many infractions now stack, and double with each offense. Or it could be for something like using external hardware or software that allows things like multiboxing, bots, etc (some common programs are keyclone, hotkeynet and isboxer - all programs you can now no longer use). 30 days would seem about right for something like that as a first offense.

thanks. asked for them to resend the email to the changed email due to not having access for the original email due to work changing them. Hope I get it so I can figure this out.

That’s again something that you are responsible for keeping up to date. Blizzard won’t know these things change unless you make the changes.

Wing told no is not a sign of bad support.
Being disciplined because you submitted tons of tickets on an issue that you had already been reviewed and upheld is also not a sign of bad support.

Assuming if you howl often enough you’ll get your way says more about you than it does about blizzard.

Reposting moderated content won’t get you anywhere here on the forums either.

You got your answer yesterday.

What on earth you going about? Youre obviously trolling at this point.

I think it might be a good idea to head this off before it gets started.
