Sure, but they also did just release a bunch of new rewards and exp for BGâs so thereâs also an increase in incentive to afk.
The chat mute (squelch) has been automated and in the game since 2007. Blizzard has never once tried to hide this and theyâve admitted itâs a thing dozens of times. Theyâve been adamant that suspensions or bans are not automated from player reports for the entirety of this gameâs existence. Chat mutes and account suspensions/bans are not the same thing and conflating them and putting them on the same level is disingenuous to say the least.

Unfortunately, itâs these very attackers who are getting banned if they happened to do no damage/healing while waiting for the node to cap.
People over here arguing semantics over what automatic means. If you are put on a list because it looks like you are afk to a computer system it is enough to be considered automatic, even if some human has to look at that data and action on it.
well, somehow i donât belive that. I was farming av, got full a4, defended a lot of towers and didnât get banned.
Maybe becuase those towers were attacked very often so i was fighting nonstop, i dunno.
But honestly after banwave AV became way more active
Arenât they reversing bans? If so doesnât that mean there was a bit of incompetence on their end to issue an unjustified ban to begin with if a real person did in fact issue those bans? Sounds to me like someone isnât doing their job right if this is the case. There is a reason a LOT of players are furious right now and keep talking about this. And they should! We should not stop talking about this until something changes. The reporting system in this game needs to change.

it was hit or miss for defending some games they would come to bunkers some game they wouldnt to be banned for doing objectives is unacceptable
since reading these forums though it seems that some of the reports i received was because i played a DK again unacceptable i hope all the people that did the false reporting are getting banned
no this is idiotic. Banning people for 30 days, even if they did happen to go afk in a bg, is psychotic behavior. All the racist,gender bashing, swearing, etc⌠comments I see in classic trade chat 24/7 far more are worthy of a ban than someone who may or may not have gone afk in a bg. No this is just the players trying to go on a power trip.
Staysafe did a test 2 days ago to see if it reporting was automated or not, he had over 100 people reporting himâŚsurprise surprise it was automated, he got kicked of the server and got muted within a minute. 7 days mute from a false report of ~100 people. What a joke.
