I was in a twin peaks on my alliance character and a warrior grabbed the flag. The warrior appeared to rocket boost then glide across the field. He had full control where he was gliding and was moving alot faster than mounts. Anyone see this lately?

Not sure about the glide, but Wild Dragon Fruit from the War Mode vendor is usable anywhere and even while holding the flag. It’s the same speed as Nitro Boost too.
Could’ve just used a regular slowfall though along with it. Something even faster than that would be shaman knockback + slowfall, that zips you across the map in like 3 seconds.

Yes, people will use nitro boost before grabbing the flag, and it will not cancel the boost. They’re using Flexweave to slowfall down maybe.

Nitro Boost drops flag when used, Flexweave Underlay does not because it’s just a regular slowfall, not a glider.
Slowfall effects only seem to not work in rated. So parachute cloak probably works. Then all you need is speed but I think all rocket boots drop the flag so you have to use something else.
I remember there was complaints that flap worked in rated so boomys could float across. Idk if that got patched.
Need to get me some of these. Also need to get engi honestly with how many randoms bgs I do.
from what i remember you use nitro boots before grabbing flag so you get the use out of the speed. maybe the person is dropping flag, nitro boots, regrab(since there doesnt seem to ne a cool down anymore) then flexweave away?
That’s not what he’s doing at all. Wild Dragonfruit from War Mode vendor is an item that you can use even while holding the flag, and it goes the same speed as Nitro Boost. It lasts like 12 seconds too, so he just used it while holding the flag and flaxweaved away.

It’s pretty useful. There’s also one that allows you to grow in size and prevents knockbacks. And another aoe one where it knocks people back and slows them. My only complaint is you can only hold 5 at a time.
I can’t wait to do an eots and have someone try and knock back my pally, fail and I get them back with the bomb

Some Lock got me good in an ioc. We were fighting at refinery and got knocked off bad. Failed teleport on my part. I eventually got in range of my port and stopped their cast but was kudos to them.

These things shouldn’t be useable in BGs, there is enough nonsense already. Knockback on a ten second cooldown? Rocket boots on a 1.5 min cooldown?
