Gladiator gear

Gladiator gear should all have the same level. Like it has always been. This new gear locked behind rating is terrible.

TBC had requirement on weapons/ shoulders

Wotlk had requirement on everything

Cata had requirement on T2 weaps

Legion/bfa/SL offers higher ilvl for higher rating.

People commenting here other expansions had requirements.

There were requirements for the pieces itself, other than that all the gear was equal in ILVL.

Kthnx

but doesn’t it equal roughly the same ilvl/rating since youd be missing out on conq pieces until you achieved that rating?? Stuck in honor gear.

That being said bring back mop gear

Isn’t only the weapon upgraded at gladiator anyway

WOTLK 1800 was the weapon

Yes, Flying Spaghetti Monster forbid that someone has to make progress to max out their gear.

We should make LFR drop max ilvl stuff and the high difficulty raids should be bragging rights only

Also had 2200 weps.

I pref the WoTLK system with different pieces at different ratings then giving previous season pieces out for honor.

WoD best though.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that the difference between the honor gear and full conquest was around 24% though, vs what we have now where 13 ilvl difference could mean an EXTREME amount of damage considering how crazy primary stats are atm.

They didn’t have the same ilvl as the season before/ honor gear.

Not for tbc/wrath and elite cata weaps.

i dont think most people who play arena, play it for the meaningful gear progression… I think they play it to play arena.

You’re at almost 300 games in 2’s and you’re not even 1200 rating. I try my best not to rating-shame on here, because I’m not incredible myself, but what’s going on bud?

You play against dragons in PVE, not players.

The goal in PVE is to have a discrepancy between the power of the thing you kill and yourself, therefore having a progression. Each week, you are more powerful than you were, therefore allowing you to kill mightier dragons.

In PvP, we don’t have dragons. We play against players. we shouldn’t need to kill 40K Hp 220 ilvl backpedaling one shotting raid boss livelords in 3s or 2s in the lower brackets because the guy decided to slay a bunch of dragons either. Like in any competitive environment, it’s only fair game that people have access to the same resources.

You don’t see football players running around with a full set of equipment while others are literally barefoot or play without a helmet. There may be difference in the quality of the said equipment, but it’s not gonna make you win a game. You’re never gonna hear someone saying “yeah we lost but he got the new Nikes bro I can’t outrun him”

Unless you deflate the pigskin to give the other team a disadvantage, but that’s another story.

Rating gated PVP illustrates all kinds of problems that could easily be addressed.

For instance, lock the gear ilvl to the max ilvl from the bracket. For example, 1400-1600 is capped at 213 ilvl in instanced PVP. This way, no more carries from people with BiS gear farting and accidentally killing people in the lower brackets. They’re gonna have to play it out with the same gear people are struggling to get.

It also makes it that it’s way better for alts too, since they have a chance to catch-up on gear without having to face raid bosses that out ilvl the max gear you can even get from the bracket. If not, they’re gonna be hardstuck and will stay 10 ilvls behind the whole xpac.

Finally, it incentivizes PVE players to still queue PVP, since the gear ilvl cap is only noticeable in PVP instances. They can have their 226ilvl working in open world and PVE environments, which will help them slay harder dragons.

get use to it, blizzard likes this new season, they are making bank on wow token buys

Honestly, I’m fine with equalized gear in random BGs.
I have a good time running random BGs, but lately I am getting into groups with everyone’s 24k reroll alts.
No point in being geared up in there if I’m the only one that can live through a group fight at a base.

This is… I like this. It could bring a whole new level of interest to not only football, but sports in general. Also tons of additional, and new, prop bets.

Remove pieces of necessary equipment from favored teams or players until Vegas declares the line a Pick Em. Chiefs a 3pt favorite in the Superbowl? “Take away Tyreek Hills gloves and make Mahomes wear a tennis shoe on his right foot. Ok cool, what’s the spread now?” Rory favored to win Scottsdale? “Yo take half of his normal clubs out of his bag and replace them with some wooden Sam Snead clubs. OK cool, what’s he favored by now?”

Just keep adjusting the favorite in every popular sporting event down to where it’s a Pick Em. It’d be like wet motorcycle roadraces, where rain is the great equalizer and anyone can win. I love it. Vegas wouldn’t tho :frowning:.

Good idea!

I look forward to you being rank 1 in TBC.

Ironically, look at the small handful of sports that don’t have salary caps. The Yankees are able to dump absurd amounts of money into their franchise and have dominated largely because of that. Put them on the same budget as small-market teams and see how well they perform year after year.

Same with most of the European soccer teams. Manchester United buys titles, for all intents and purposes. It’s the same concept in WoW. When you have more resources, you have more room for success. They’re quite literally buying skill.
