Concept art.
Well it also has 5 fingers so, my bet is just a wild concept someone threw together without any intention of being made into a worgen option
Back to support optional tails for worgen. I also saw somewhere player housing is coming in the next expansion interesting.
Hopefully player housing is optional as yeah no i got a house in GW2 I don’t need one in WoW. I’m not getting too hyped for them as they feel worthless outside of a safe spot to log off and RP. I’d of happily taken optional tails and more love for my worgen than some attempt at housing as all my luck I won’t be able to mount elf heads on my wall with housing
Still supporting optional tails and more Worgen form customization options, period.
I’m waiting for more info on the upcoming housing system before getting excited about it. I also play FFXIV, and the housing system over there is a mess( not enough plots, for starters).
We’re legit gonna get “would cost an entire raid tier” player housing before we get Worgen tails lmao
Show me in the lore where it says we can’t have a tail. I’ll wait…
I find the player housing interesting because they could easily add more customization option for player character’s but they chose to do housing before which seems to be much harder to add. I hope they add more customization option for the races that need more in between patches but I’m probably holding onto false hope. Still hoping for optional tails for worgen though.
Artists are a finite resource after all, choices have to be made.
I heard from a friend on Discord that they worked on the housing since two years now.
If it’s true then it explains a lot about the lack of new customzarions lately.
I hope that every races will get their racial house to begin.
By the way in the new novella series we learn that Genn is in charge of Stormwind in place of Turalyon as the later leaved for the isle of Dorn.
It explains why we don’t see him in Gilneas i guess…
Makes sense, I guess i need to stay up to date on wow’s news if they really worked on it for two year then that’s understandable.
Depends.
Most of it would be UI and Level Design work and not character artist.
Depending how how the artist are divided between Characters/NPCs/Environment/Objects/Gear.
I think everyone should get a house at level 10 and you can buy another races house if you are exalted with that faction. With a few neutral NPC factions thrown in.
And theoretically you could own and decorate every house.
Every in game Worgen model, NPC etc…They just don’t have em.
Can you show me anywhere in the lore where it says gnomes can’t have horns?
Also found this on the WoW Wiki
Worgen are wolf-like creatures who possess coarse hair, pointed ears, and long snouts. However, one will also immediately notice their differences from wolves, namely their powerful, two-legged bodies which sport long fangs and dagger-like claws. A male worgen is at least as tall as a male kaldorei, but nearly twice as wide and far more muscled. Females are on average around 8 feet tall, as are males when hunched over. Unlike the original wolf pack form, the worgen transformation does not cause the individual to grow a tail.
The citation for that is a quote from Christie Golden when she accidentally added a tail to a worgen in a book. There’s nothing cemented in lore that says worgen cannot have a tail.
That would heavily imply worgens don’t have tails. As I said before the lack of tails on every in game Worgen NPC and player is also very telling.
I can use your same logic and say there is no lore saying gnomes don’t have horns…
There’s no implication. They don’t have tails. Which is more of a design decision than a lore one.
GIVE WORGEN TAILS. /10char
So if I illustrate a cover of a Warcraft novel and give a gnome horns then publicly state I made a mistake and gnomes don’t have horns would you assume gnomes have horns? This is basically your argument.
I really don’t understand the strawman coming out of you with this thing about gnomes and horns. Worgen don’t have tails as a design decision. We think they should. Worgen, and werewolves in general, being a fantasy creation, don’t really have reality to ground the lore like more traditionally humanoid races, like gnomes.
Some of them do have horns, especially since transmog was un-restricted. Hope that helps.
this company takes weird stances with certain things, and not giving a tail to so many Worgen players that want one, is one of them.
