It seems to me that Blizzard is trying to erase the Worgen from the story. In a few years, there won’t be any Worgen left…

Legitimately. If a race has a human or human-esque face they receive preferential treatment. Notice how draenei get five fingers and tails, being somewhat modeled after goats, and also a proper unguligrade leg femur/tib/fib intersection angle?
Worgen on the other hand, despite being modeled after wolves (a pentadactyl creature, like humans) gets only four fingers, has collapsing digitigrade legs with much less angular difference between the posterior femur and tibia/fibula, and they lack tails and have a bad run animation.
Or Dracthyr, they made the males and females the same, (despite reptiles showing clear sexual dimorphism in real life) and didn’t give them eyelashes (despite the model clade, archosaurs, having them in real life), and also didn’t give them proper saurischian smooth scales despite the actual dragons having them, and of course, that being closer to reality.
When you point out the missing features, the devs and their moles on the forums will say asinine drivel like; “haha lizards don’t have eyelashes (they say lizards, despite dracthyr being closer to archosaurs, not lepidosaurs, but whatever) that’s so dumb stop looking at deviant art, lizards don’t have males and females!”
Then when pointing out that they should as it would be realistic, the responses are invariably “oh but bro why so serious haha just fantasy game! Why you care?”
If humans in game had three fingers, collapsing digitigrade legs, and square faces, and no males or females, they’d be going literally postal.
The devs (or their higher ups) are legitimately speciesist. They figure: “It’s just a wolf/lizard person, they won’t know if we completely botch it and give it absolutely no concern whatsoever.”

There was also that possibly small debate on the fact drakonid women at least in art from hearthstone had slender figures and well…breasts…you clearly knew that is a woman dragon person… but rather than dracthyr women being like that or hey drakonids as a whole both dracthyr and drakonid got given the same gender neutral although possibly masculine body. They keep claiming “Lizards don’t got breasts so why should dracthyr?” when the lore of Dracthyr is they’re a hybrid of mortal and dragon DNA so they’re not truly full lizard/dragon so such things as breasts would work. They really did a number on dracthyr but they also altered worgen’s OG model before launch in Cata to the abomination we had for 10 years, then we finally get the HD update and now we worgen run funny and seem unbalanced. Our cloaks behave as if we got an invisible tail as well… they really should just give us the option at least to have or not have the tail. Add that would hurt literally nothing and nobody but yeah no…they really do hate us worgen. They’ve been essentially kicking us around for years while spoiling their favorite children the elves and humans… I truly hope none of them own dogs with how cruelly they treat worgen.
On another note there is some odd stuff going on with worgen and dracthyr…worgen in game only show to have three toes but our paw prints in sand or snow have four where as dracthyr got four toes but their prints look like chicken feet… everyone else as far as I’m aware has normal footprints so…why are the ones for worgen and dracthyr so odd?

They are the least played race. No one other than role playing servers will miss them. They have no representation.
What ever a Worgen can do. A night elf can do much better.

According to Dataforazeroth the least played are Earthen and Mechagnomes both at ~0.9%.
The absolute lowest would be Neutral Pandaren.

I’m actually in favor of dracthyr not having breasts, they could have made them good looking without resorting to that. But instead they chose to make them ugly, and not give them shamans or druids.
As someone who has actually played a druid as a worgen for 15 years, if they add tails, they better be optional in the barbershop. Because I absolutely do not need one sticking out of the back of my trousers.
That’s the whole point of this Dracarian. We want it to be an optional choice so people can have the original look or this new look. The choice would be yours. We already suffered 10 years of no choice with the abomination we don’t want to force anything on anyone. We know how that feels.

No no Cursewords you don’t get to cherry pick here. There have never been any Worgen with half elf lore what so ever. Yes there are half elves in lore heck there are half you name the combo races all over the place like Garonia, Rexxor and more but just because you’ve never heard of half elf Gilnean don’t mean they suddenly are a thing. (Do you see how silly that sounds?) If they added half elf Gilnean they can add an optional tail. It don’t matter it’s a character in a game. Let the players be happy with the race they choose to play.
And yet the people of Arator are not elven at all. Just pointy eared humans. Stahl’s ear is a congenital ear deformity characterized by an extra fold of cartilage at the upper part of the ear. It’s a genetic thing for them, not an elven breeding thing. It is possible to have a point ear and not be a Vulcan or Elf. Arator may be half elf, but the Arathi are not elven at all.

Half Elves have been around for years. They are canon. Tails on Worgen are not canon, never have been.

The Arathi as a Race are described as “mixed race descendants of humans from Arathor and high elves from Quelthalas”
So… yes, they are.
The Arathi are 100% descendant from human and elf bloodlines combining. They’re not technically just “half elven” at this point as they’ve been “breeding true” for long enough they’re not just a half elf. They’re a new thing that has come from both human and elf blood. We’d call it a Hybrid in current day terms.
Rather recently for instance we discovered a hybrid of Blue Jays and Green Jays. Far as we can tell they’re a new bird that can breed true. (As well as with its Blue Jay and Green Jay counterparts.)
Its an interesting thing they’ve done with the Arathi.
That all said, it has no relevance to the concept of Optional Worgen Tails. Which has zero, completely zero, lore implications at all so long as it is optional.

There is no rant dude. Its simply me saying there is no such thing as Gilnean half elves and suddenly there is. Sure there are no current tails but there can be just like the half elf thing. Lore be damned. The Lore is dead. Long live the Lore but as Garry once said. Times change!

Which was added with no real need to explain. Its believable that there have been some half elf gilneans before we just never had need to know of them.
This is exactly as easy as it will be to add optional worgen tails and exactly how they will have no effect on the lore.

Says who? Half Elves exist, there is nothing inherent about Half Elves that say they cannot be from Gilneas. You’re treating Gilnean humans as some special kind of human when they’re not, they’re just humans.
There are way more than 5 people who have posted about wanting it.

I think they should just give Worgen tails already, Seriously every time I see threads about this I start to question why people are even discussing giving them tails because I constantly forget that they never had one. It just doesn’t make sense for any form of wolf to not have a tail and Worgen are just a Werewolf creature and all Werewolves should have a tail as well.

Gilneans locked themselves behind the Greymane wall for ages following I think it was the second war. When they did so the only people there were humans, until the cataclysm hit that’s how it stayed. Sure there may be some among the few remaining humans of Gilneas who fell in love with an elf but that is more recent a thing not how they were before. If I recall right worgen druid trainer in the starting zone was human as well so if half elf gilneas is a thing is a more recent thing. Something to take away from this though is if they can add the half elf ears to worgen’s human form they can give our worgen form the option of a tail. So dang sick of them saying that they’re giving worgen stuff but the only part of worgen who got something was the worthless human form because stormwind humans got them.
